Chapter 7: A new friend

It's Monday again meaning another day of torture from teachers.

I get down from bed and go to the bathroom. I did my morning routines and head downstairs.

I see mom making breakfast and I head towards the kitchen.

"Morning mom"

"Morning Micky"

"What's for breakfast"

"Pancakes" she smiled

"Yay. Last time Arnold said that he told you to make him pancakes while I get cereal. Finally I can taste them"

"Really? Arnold did that?" She was shocked

"Yes mom. What do you mean by 'really'."

"Well he told me the opposite"

"Like he said said he wanted cereal and that I can have pancakes?" I asked

"Yes darling"

"He's such a jerk. Well today mom don't make him pancakes while I will have it"

"Never going to happen. Well I guess I am way smarter than you"

This time it wasn't mom but it was that voice... The great Arnold

Slowly turning around I say

"Arnold you're a jerk"

"Point of correction, annoying jerk" he sarcastically said

"Arnold stop it!" I said

And he smirked

"You know what, I'm never talking to you again" I said

"Micky don't say that he's your brother" mom said

"Mom he is caring but most of the times he's annoying"

"What's going on here" dad asked

"Brother and sister fight. And I don't know how to stop it." mom complained

"Okay what's the problem here!" Dad asked

And we explained what it was.

"Arnold I know you're an amazing big brother but please don't annoy your sister so much than she can handle. Okay?" Dad recommended

"Yes dad" Arnold said

"Now say sorry to her" dad commanded

"Sorry My little sister for being the most annoying jerk of all time. I won't bother you as much from now on"

"Thank you. For once I can finally live a peaceful life" I exclaimed

"Now let's go to school. We'll be late" mom said

Arriving at school, as usual doing a little prayer in my heart while going down the hallway.

I look for Lia and she's no where to be found. But I found her at a corner with a girl I usually see with the popular girls. Her head was in-between her knees seeing this girl like this I was hurt.

"What's going on?" I asked Lia

When I said that the girl lifted her head to look up. And I saw her crying.

"Uh, this girl called Alexandra Hart. Was fat-shamed by a person, but her popular friends were just laughing at what they were saying about her" Lia said

I bent down and called her name but she didn't look at me, I was devastated seeing her cry. I don't know why but when I see a person crying I feel like I am also feeling the pain.

"Alexandra" I called out again

This time she looked up but still tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"Breath in and out" I said

And she did exactly what I told her to do.

"Do that five times" I said

She then breathed in and out as I told her to.

"So now tell me what happened" I told her

"T-that tall boy *sniff* w-was body shameing m-me and m-m-my friends were just laughing and left me while I was crying *sniff* Lia c-came to cheer me up." She complained

"I'm sorry Alexa for what happened. Let's go to the bathroom." I smiled

"Thank you. I-I'm really grateful for your kindness." She sobbed even harder

"Hey, don't cry. Look, from now on you are our friend and we're your friends." Lia said

"Exactly. She's right" I agreed

During recess, Alexandra hung out with me and Lia and I made sure she was always by our side never leaving our side.

We were having a chat with our new friend after a few seconds the bunch of girls I always avoided came to us.

"Hey Christian girl, leave our friend alone. You already took Jayden so leave her alone." The blonde one spoke with an attitude

What does she mean didn't take him. Plus his just a brother in Christ. I just kept quiet and didn't respond.

"Paige, leave me alone. You are all fake friends" Alexa said looking on the ground

"It's okay, let's leave" Lia soothes

"Let's go, Alexa." I agreed

"Listen you whatever your name is, stay away from Jayden or else..." With that she and her group left

"Just leave her, she is just mean and loves intimidating people" Alexa whispered as we were going out of the cafeteria

I smiled to how cute she was being.

"Don't worry, for God is always with me and I fear no evil"
