MIKAYLA DAVIS
"I'm coming dad!" I scream down the hallway.
Today is Sunday one of my favourite days of the week because it is the day I go to church to worship God. I woke up this morning with a very good mood and I don't know why.
But each morning I wake up I thank the Lord for one more day he has given me, because not everyone has gotten the chance I have. Others are on the sickbed and are wishing to be healthy like I am. I will be forever grateful.
Today I'm wearing a long blue dress with a pair of short heels.
I look in the mirror admiring my beauty. And I then remember that we are running late for church, so I go downstairs to see my big brother Arnold and dad.
Oh it looks like mom is still in her room doing her makeup. She never wants to get old. She looks old but when it comes to cosmetics she knows all about it. Even I don't take as long as she does.
"Let me guess..mom is still doing her makeup. Right?" I question
"What else if it isn't that." Arnold says sarcastically
"Woah woah woah. Just chill guys. Okay? She'll be here in a few minutes" Dad adds
"But we've been waiting for her for about 20 minutes. She's taking way to long." Arnold scoffs
"Yes dad, for the first time in my life I will agree with Arnold. She's taking way to long."
"Okay Mikayla for once atleast you don't have to fght with your big brother on who's right. because you guys are like Tom and Jerry." Dad chuckles"Ehm okay..but the problem is Arnold not me, because I like peace and he never likes accepting that he's wrong or that he made a mistake." I argue
"I'm sorry miss, but it's you who likes claiming that you're right and whatever." Arnold clears his throat
"Whatever, you will always remain the same arrogant arnold." I mutter underneath my breath for him not to hear what I'm saying.
"Sorry miss Micky but I clearly heard what you said."
Whatever." I shouted in his face."Guys we are going to church so don't argue we need to go in a spirit of unity." Dad says
"Oh, I'm sorry bro if I've offended you I'm sorry." I sarcastically say
"Okay you're forgiven, sisty." He smirks.
"You're such a jerk." I say
"Ugh she's taking so long." Arnold groans.
"Hey Guys I'm done. I HEARD ALL YOUR GOSSIPS!" Mom shouts across the living room.
"Oh morning mom. Nice to see that you're finally done." I say clearing my throat.
"Whatever. Let's go already we'll be late." She says
"We're already late." Arnold mutters.
"I heard that." I smirk at him
He just rolled his eyes. He'll remain the same old arrogant spoiled brat. But what can I say or do. Only God can change his attitude.
________Arriving at church I sat in front as I always like to do because I have a better view of the preacher and musicians.
I suddenly feel a tap on my shoulder and look around to see that it's Anna. She scared me I thought it was my bossy brother that wanted to order me to do something while I was wrong. She is a church friend. We both love God and want to know him more. We know each other since we were 10 years old, so she is a long time friend.
