Donnie
It had been a normal Tuesday at school, nothing too exciting, but the school dance had been the talk of the town. Taylor Martin had personally invited Y/n to the school dance to hang out with her group of friends. If she weren't scared of being thrown out of her group for saying the wrong thing, she would happily go to the dance alone, but now she was stuck looking for a date. She couldn't ask just anyone, so she needed to find her friend Dale. She knew he had a crush on April, so there would be no harm in going as friends. She didn't wanna get Dale's hopes up either and say she'd wingman for him though, since she was pretty sure April didn't like men, or at least had a preference for women."Well hello there," spoke a familiar voice. Y/n turned around, expecting a moldy teen in a purple hoodie, but was met with a normal kid her age. He wore a white button-up with a purple hoodie around his waist. His pants were rolled up to his mid-shin and he wore purple socks with black shoes and purple accents. It was true what people said about people's favorite color being purple, it becomes their identity.
"Hello...?" She looked at him, cocking a brow. She didn't know this guy, so why was he talking to her? People didn't tend to approach her unless they wanted something from her. She crossed her arms, popping her hip to the side a little, sure he was going to ask a favor or something from her. If she did feel threatened she could always give a girl a side eye and they'd probably bust her out of it. "Did you need something?" The guy blinked a little, he seemed unsure about what to say. He looked around with a smile and shook his head before walking away. Well, that was weird, she thought to herself. She shrugged it off, dropping her arms to her side and heading back to class. She was unsure why, but he felt very familiar. She'd had to let that feeling fester in her head since she had to get to science class soon. If there was time she would shoot her boyfriend a text as she got to class.
She walked into the classroom and took a look around. She saw that weird kid in the purple again. Great, now he could bother her in class as well. Y/n sat at her desk, a few seats ahead of him, and looked around. Hopefully, April will be here soon, she thought to herself. If there were any reason for her to feel uncomfortable around this guy, it would be now. He kept staring at her from behind. She was going to turn around and say something, but she stopped when April burst through the classroom door.
"I knew it!! I knew you'd be here!" She stomped her way over to the boy clad in purple and slammed her hands on his desk. "Sunita is going to kill you," she sighed as the boy went to speak. April raised her hand to stop him and looked around. "You're so lucky she said she'd give you one day! You know that's a family heirloom." The boy chuckled, and it felt familiar. Y/n glanced back at the boy who was still staring into her soul. He whispered something to April, causing her to pause and turn around to Y/n and back to the boy in purple, smacking his arm. "So you decide to creep her out all day?! You're such an idiot! Y/n, come say hi to this doofus please," she pleaded and pulled out her puppy eyes. Y/n sighed and got up from her desk, walking to the boy a few desks away."What." She looked at the boy who sent shivers up her spine. He looked taken aback before putting his hand out. For a moment she thought he might be non-verbal, but he whispered to April earlier. She could swear she saw it. He cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak.
"The name's Othello Von Ry-"
"You're an idiot," Y/n laughed and covered her face as she lightly smacked his shoulder. No wonder he was covered head to toe in purple. Donnie chuckled before turning to get out of his seat, moving over to Y/n, and taking her hand.
"Sorry, I wanted to surprise you, but I didn't know when to and I thought I lost the moment earlier in the hall."
"Yes, 'cause this was definitely the way to go. Stare at me all day whenever you see me until you can get me alone. That's not creepy at all," she teased him with a smile. There was no way she would let him live this down in the future.
Leo
Y/n walked through the halls with her cousin, who seemed entranced by her phone. She glanced over noticing the familiar name of that gloop girl she had an encounter with. She took her cousin's arm as they walked and smirked."You and Sunita seem to talk quite a bit, April," she chuckled as her cousin whipped her head and looked at her with a cat-like stare.
"You stop insinuating what I know you are, she's just a friend who happens to be very nice to me and one of my few not-weird friends." She huffed and looked back at her phone. "And she and I are planning to go get some pizza at Lou Mike Tony The Brother's Pizza." Y/n cringed a little at the long name but nodded along while her cousin spoke. "You should take Leo or something. You guys need to get out more," April nudged Y/n with a smirk.
"Hey! We get out plenty, you just don't know about it." April deadpanned at her cousin before rolling her eyes. Y/n was about to say something but some girl ran past her, practically shoving Y/n to the ground. "Hey! Watch it," she huffed, glaring at the girl as she ran to a crowd. Y/n cocked a brow and turned to April. "What's that about? Is there some celebrity here today?"
"In this economy? Not likely," April commented and tried to tiptoe past the crowd of girls, just barely seeing the top of a guy's head in the middle of the crowd. The boy had black hair and ivory skin. He had some strange marks on his face that seemed oddly familiar and his outfit was practically covered in blue. "I bet his favorite color is blue." April and Y/n chuckled.
"No way? What gave you that idea," Y/n nudged her friend and locked eyes with the boy. He felt so familiar and it was starting to eat at Y/n. "Let's uh, let's get to class April." Y/n tugged her cousin along and started to their class. It didn't take long for them to walk into English and sit next to each other. Mr. Honeybadger was probably their favorite teacher so far. He was always making the class fun and a good learning environment and funny jewelry like pendants and jangly bracelets. April and Y/n kept their conversation going while there seemed to be a commotion outside. The girls looked towards the door as that guy from earlier walked through. He glanced at Y/n and April before leaning against the table. He tapped on the table as the two girls gave him a look, that is until he spoke.
"My my, what's with the glares from my two favorite ladies?" Leon chuckled as Y/n stared at him for a moment.
"What's with your fan club?" Y/n cocked a brow at him. Leo chuckled a bit and rubbed the back of his neck.
"So you saw that, huh?" Y/n nodded and looked up at him. "I guess you don't get a lot of new kids around here as pretty as me?"
"You are right about that- I'm sorry I feel like you are glossing over the whole-"
"The whole human thing?" Leo chuckled again and sat on April and Y/n's desk. "Yeah, I found a pendant like Sunita's on the floor of the Undercity and now I have it-"
"Leonardo! You can not- You have to give that back!" Y/n yelled at him, quickly hushing herself. She put her hand on her cheek and looked up at him. "You are something else, there could be someone in the undercity looking for their broach and trying to get to work or something!" Leo chuckled and looked at the clock.
"Yeah, I'll give it back later. I wanna spend the day with you first Princessa.
