Donnie
Y/n had spent the afternoon helping her parents set up and clean the living room. Of course, Donnie had been in her apartment many times before, but this was different. This time, he wasn't sneaking in. No, he was walking in through the front door. Today was nerve-wracking. Of course, he said it would be fine, but he's not what Y/n was worried about. Y/n was worried about her parents more than anything. She had one or two boyfriends before, nothing serious, but they had been waiting to meet a boyfriend of hers since she got her first boyfriend, and now it was time. She was steeling herself for the incoming embarrassment and looked around.
"Oh go- is that- Mom! Put the scrapbook away!" She bolted to her mother, trying to pull out a scrapbook, as there was a knock on the door. The horror of her mother throwing the book at Y/n covered her face as she paused to catch it. Her mother stood up and bee-lined to the door. When she heard the door open, Y/n carefully tucked the scrapbook away so as not to ruin precious memories.
"You must be Donatello, " her mother said happily. The color drained from her face. Oh no... it's begun, she thought.
"Yes. I'm Donatello; it's a pleasure to meet you." Donatello had spent the night before researching how to make the best impressions on a partner's family. He reached out his hand, ignoring that he didn't want to touch anyone right now, but gave Y/n's mom a firm shake. She smiled and gave him a gentle smile. "Thank you for allowing me into your home."
"Oh, of course," she let go of Donnie's hand before looking towards the kitchen. "Honey? Come out here and meet Donatello." Y/n moved over to wave Donnie into the home. Some shuffling came from the kitchen while she moved to the side with Donnie. Y/n's mom smiled as Y/n's father walked out of the door of the kitchen. Y/n closed the door behind Donnie and watched as her father approached the couple.
"So, you're the boy my daughter has talked about for a while." Y/n's dad smiled and wiped his hands, looking Donatello up and down. "I'm just about done with dinner, so if you want to sit down, I'll set up shortly." Donnie nodded along as Y/n smiled.
Y/n brought Donnie to the table and sat next to him. Y/n's father and mother moved into the kitchen and momentarily watched the two from the doorway. Y/n leaned a bit closer and pinched his leg.
"So what's with this whole look? It's... so purple." Y/n chuckled and poked his arm. He was adorable, but everything but his pants was purple. Even the streaks in his new hair were purple; how'd he even do this???
"Scoff, of course, I would wear purple. It's my signature color, Y/n." He glanced at her and sat up a bit straighter. "Why, what's wrong with it," he looked down and pulled at his sweater.
"Nothing's wrong, it's cute." She smiled and leaned against her chair. "I like your streaks," she pointed at his hair before crossing her arms on the table. Before Donnie could speak up about his new look, her parents returned to the table with food.

They happily ate dinner while Y/n's Dad and Mom chatted with Donatello.
"I have to say, Y/n, Donatello is a happy surprise. I didn't think you'd fall for someone as smart as him," her mom chuckled with a wave as Y/n sighed.
"Mom, please-"
"Oh, you would not believe her last boyfriend. He was all muscle and no brain, and we didn't even get to meet him." Y/n looked down at her plate and covered her face a bit as Donatello chuckled nervously.
"Uh yeah, guess I cut against the grain." Donnie smiled almost painfully and ate his food. Y/n was glad she had gotten a list of his safe foods beforehand so he could have dinner with them.
