"Hmm. The happy ending. It's for you darling."
I watched as her breath hitched, eyes fluttered and peered away from mine. A rose bloom on her face in the colour of her blush.
She took a step back, taking her heat with her.
"Do you like that I wrote a happy ending for you?" I asked, impatiently waiting to hear her confident yet breathless voice.
The voice that ensnared me in its trap with a simple, "oh."
I remember seeing her for the first time six months ago.
I remember the feeling.
The same feeling I get when I start a new book or write a new book.
The same feeling I get seeing the sunset and the sun rise.
The same feeling I get when the moon rises, desperate to embrace the serene darkness around it and sit amongst the stars.
The same feeling I got when I walked through that door and stared in her pretty brown eyes.
There was something about Athena Aetos that pulled me towards her. I didn't know what it was but I was determined to find out.
"I do. I've never had anyone dedicate a whole book to me." She answered, looking right back into my eyes, after she finally decided to avert her attention from the floor. "But why?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why dedicate a book to me?" She asked.
And what a foolish question to ask.
"Why not? You're an interesting woman Athena, there's something about you. After all, it made my hands move to write a book all for you. You're so open and yet so... distant, closed." I explained. I could've explained better, I knew but I couldn't find the words.
