The Twins Pt1 🔞

He looked up at the sound of heels clicking on floor. It was his assistant coming to drop off papers that required his signature. His breath caught at the sight of her and had to turn away so that she wouldn't see the blush that settled on his cheeks.  He chastised himself for the thoughts that fill his mind whenever she's near him. He knew he shouldn't be thinking these things about her but he couldn't help it.

Bin Y/N was beautiful. Her understated beauty never failed to take his breath away. She wore just enough make-up to accentuate her flawless skin, though in his opinion she didn't need it. She has a very pleasant demeanor and is well liked by everyone. She seemed shy when they first met nine months ago, having been assigned to work for Jungkook by her father who was the Chairman of the company. The more they interacted together the more she felt at ease and soon began to open up. Now they have a great working relationship, even becoming flirty at times. A few times he caught her checking him out and it makes him wonder if she has such thoughts about him too.

Stop it Jungkook! She's off limits. He scolded himself as she neared his desk. Stay within your boundaries. You're an engaged man! He waged a mental battle until she spoke to him.

"Jungkook, Nina asked me to tell you that she can't join you for dinner. She said to tell you she's needed in Tokyo for a few days."

"She what? This is the first I've heard of this. What's in Tokyo that's so important?" If he sounded annoyed, it's because he is. He had been looking forward to dinner with his fiancé for weeks. Both have been very busy and have barely spent any time together for weeks now. He hoped she'd finally agree to spending the night at his for the first time, despite him asking her many times. Each and every time she declined and he knew exactly why.

Nina has thawed somewhat since they began dating. He chipped away at her cold personality from the start and he was making progress. The most they've ever done was make out. Nina has been upfront about waiting until after marriage before going further. While this was a source of frustration for him at times, he was more than willing to wait however long it takes for her to be ready to take it to the next level. Neither of them are virgins but her hesitance in having a physical relationship before marrying is a direct result of having been hurt badly by her exes.

For his part thought, Jungkook's wanting her to spend the night wasn't an invitation for sex. All he wanted was to cuddle and wake up with her in his arms. She often said no because she thought it better to avoid temptation all together. Jungkook continued to try though because  he wanted to prove to her that it wasn't always about sex.

"If it makes you feel better, my father is the one who asked her to go. Something about meeting some potential investors for the new project." Y/N explained as she leans on the corner of his desk. She places a file folder in front of him along with a pen. "I need you to sign these, please."

Jungkook couldn't help but glance at her exposed thigh a mere arm's length away. When he looked up and saw her smirking at him he knew he'd been caught. Picking up the pen, he began to look through the documents before signing them. "Did she say how long she will be gone?"

"A couple of days at most." Y/N shrugged. Both of them knew this could mean two days or a week in Nina speak.

A year ago, Jungkook was summoned to the Chairman's office where he received the most intriguing proposal. In exchange for marrying the Chairman's daughter, Jungkook would be named CEO of Bin Holdings. Mr. Bin felt he had a great performance record as one of the company's top executives and deemed him worthy to run the company. Mr. Bin wants to keep the business within the family so the new CEO has to be a family member, hence the marriage offer. He planned to name his daughter, Nina, as his successor when he retires in a few months. She would be the head of the company, mostly dealing with investors and the overall image of the company. The CEO would keep control of the day-to-day management of the company and report to her.
