My Idol Boyfriend

"That's great Jungkook, keep doing that!" The photographer said encouragingly.

He's been taking photos for nearly three hours frustrating the cover star himself. Four plus hours of make-up, touch-ups, outfit changes, and a myriad of different poses had Jungkook desperate to leave.  It was a photoshoot for an UK magazine cover and it was a big deal considering he would be the first ever K-pop star to be on it's cover. It's also part of his upcoming album promotions, his first ever solo album so it was important the photos turn out well.

Normally he doesn't mind staying extra hours at work, but tonight was his first anniversary with his girlfriend.  He planned a very special weekend for them, going as far as reserving the presidential suite at a fancy hotel. He even hired someone to decorate the place because he also planned to ask her to marry him. Although they've only been a couple for a year, Y/N has been his a trusted friend for years. They first met their first year high school, when they were assigned a project together. Jungkook was already an idol by then but she never treated him any differently than everyone else.  She also didn't mind having to go all over town just to meet him so they could work on the project together in between his work responsibilities. His members all adored her, treating her like a younger sister.

Love started to blossom between them gradually taking them both by surprise. For Jungkook, he realized it when she cancelled plans with him because she had a date with another boy. He acted unbothered when she told him but he was unable to focus on practice the entire night, driving all the members crazy. He even broke down in tears when he saw photos her date posted of them together at the arcade. Y/N had a huge smile in one while looking at something off camera. It was then that Jungkook felt a pinch in his heart. She clearly was having the best time while on a date with someone else and he didn't like it one bit. 

Unbeknownst to him, the thing that brought that large smile on her face was Jungkook himself. Because what she was looking at was a screen that was playing his band's latest music video. Y/N wasn't having that nice of a time on this date, one she only agreed to go on because their moms were old school friends.

"He has no friends, sweetheart. Could you just go hangout with him this one time so he won't feel so lonely in this new city?" her mom asked her one evening. 

"Fine, but I won't consider it a date," she argued.

Truth be told, he really was a nice guy. But she didn't want to mislead him because her heart fluttered for someone else, a guy whom she felt would never be interested in her. The very same one she's been spending a lot of time with because of their project. The more time she spent with Jungkook the more she realized they had much in common. Though his passion was singing and hers was dancing, they both loved to perform. And it showed in the work they've put in towards their assignment of making a 2-minute music video.

Neither of them could have ever imagined the other falling for them so they kept their feelings to themselves. Not even when they shared their first kiss, at the end of the video. It was unscripted but after Jungkook held her in his arms for their ending pose, he couldn't help himself. For a moment he forgot they were shooting a video. He bent his face down and laid a soft kiss upon her lips. She too forgot what was happening and despite being surprised, she leaned into him as well, returning the sweet gesture.

"Um, sorry, I don't know what came over me." Jungkook apologized a moment later, his arms still holding her waist.

"It's fine." She replied "I think it works with the ending concept we planned out." Y/N tried to act nonchalant, as if her heart wasn't racing a mile a minute. As if her lips still weren't tingling at the touch of his.

Jungkook released her from his hold when he realized he was still hanging on to her. His arms already missed her the moment they let go. He wanted to kiss her again but felt that he shouldn't.  He was afraid to make a move because he didn't want to lose her as a friend. She too felt the same so they hid their blossoming feelings for one another.
