When kidnapped and a phone rings, answer it

When Marie had heard that Finney went missing as well, she was absolutely devastated.

And she started to wonder, what did this kidnapper want with teenage boys? And how'd he or she get a hold of Vance?

Then, her phone on her nightstand rung, she picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this Marie Arellano?"

"Yeah.."

"I'm Max Shaw, and I know that your boyfriend, brother and friend were taken, so I was wondering if you'd maybe wanna help me catch this guy, maybe some revenge?"

"Are you with the police?"

"No, this is a more... private case.. for fun, I guess."

"If this is some joke-"

"It's not! Look, I already have a few areas narrowed down. If you could come over for a second, and we could visit them somehow-"

"Fine. What's the address?"

It seemed stupid to trust some random guy on the phone, but she really did want revenge.

He gave her the address and she sped off in her uncles car.

Finney woke up to a phone ringing, he looked at the phone and got up and picked it up.

"It doesn't work. Not since I was a kid. Hang it up." He turned on the lights.

"I know you're scared and you wanna go home, I'll take you home soon. It's just that.." he sighed "Oh, everything's all fucked up. I got to be upstairs for a while. Somethings come up."

"What?"

"Never mind what."

"Did someone see something? Are the police coming? If you let me go before they get here I promise I won't tell."

He laughed "it's not the police."

"Someone though? Someone's coming? I'll scream. If someone's upstairs they'll hear me."

"No he won't, not with the door shut."

"He?"

He sighed "With the door shut, no one can hear anything down here. I soundproofed it myself. So shout if you like, you won't bother anyone."

"You're the one who killed the others. Bruce. Robin. Vance."

"That wasn't me. That was someone else. I will never make you do anything that you won't... like."

"If you try to touch me I'll scratch your face. And whoever's coming will see and ask why."

"This face?"  He pointed to his mask. "Hang up the phone now."

Finney put the phone away.

"I was down here when it rang." He chuckled "ooh, creepiest damn thing. I think it's static electricity that does it. It went off when I was right next to it, I picked it up without thinking, to see if anyone was there."

"Was there?"

He shook his head "No." and went upstairs, closing and locking the door.

So, despite the man's words, Finney yelled.

"Help! Help! Please!" But no one could hear him, and he saw a vent that was high up.

He tried reaching it by jumping, but he wasn't tall enough.

"Stop, stop, stop it. If anyone could've broke that window, they would've done it. Robin would've done it." He sat on the mattress.

"I'm not getting out of here. I'm not getting out of here."

Then, the phone rang. He turned and looked at it, he stood in front of it and hesitated before picking it up and putting it to his ear.

"Hello?"

No answer.

"Hello?"

He got no answer again, so he put it up again.

He decided to go to sleep, for a little while. When he woke up, there was creaking.

"Stop it."

"Stop what?" The man said, he crouched in a corner and watched Finney sleep.

Finney backed away.

"I'm hungry. I need food."

"How are your eyes?"

"They hurt."

"Well, I can't bring you anything to eat. You'll have to wait."

"Is there someone upstairs who will see you bring me food?"

"Don't you worry about that." His brother and his uninvited friend were upstairs.

"If you weren't gonna feed me why'd you even come down here?"

"Just to look at you. I just wanted to look at you. I'll go." He closed the door.

Finney backed away against a wall, he was now beyond creeped out. He went back to sleep, and woke up to the phone ringing.

He got up and picked it up. Instead of silence, there was static this time.

"Hello? Somebody there? I need help. Hello?"

"Finney." The voice whispered, he gasped and put the phone back quickly and backed away from it. He backed up against the wall, and the phone rang again. He stood up, and picked up the phone and put it down. Then it rang again.

He picked it up, and to his ear.

"Don't hang up."

"Um.. who is this?"

"I don't remember my name."

"Why not?"

"It's the first thing you lose."

"First thing you lose when?"

"You know when."

"How do you know my name?" Finney asked.

"We met once. Your arm is mint, you almost had me."

"Bruce. Bruce Yamada?"

"Yeah. Bruce. Uh, I'm Bruce. Your arm is mint, you almost had me."

"Did the phone ring for you?"

"It rang, but none of us heard it, just you. The grabber hears the phone too, but he doesn't wanna believe it."

"Why are you calling me?"

"Your arm is mint. You almost had me. I'm glad it's you. Finney?"

"Yeah."

"There's a dirt section in the tile of the hallway where the tile is loose."

"Okay."

"Dig deep down into the foundation. I tried but there wasn't time for me to get to the other side."

"Will I have enough time?"

The phone stopped, and Bruce's call was over.

Gwen saw Bruce, playing baseball and even when he was a baby. Then she saw Finney, banging on the door to a tile house. "Help!" He yelled.

She woke up, gasping and panting for air.

She snuck out, and drove around on her bike and looked for the house she had seen Finney in her dreams.

Finney, on the other hand took out the tile and started to use his hands to dig.

He threw the dirt in the toilet, and put a mat over the dirt so he wouldn't see it. He fell down onto the mattress.
