Chapter 6: The Birthday Present

Since that day, Razor and Bennett have hung out together. The wolf boy occasionally even going to Mondstadt to visit the other. Years passed, and they were both now 16, it would be Benny's 17 birthday soon, and since now the electro user had an understanding of birthdays, he wanted to give a gift to his dear friend. He sat down by a tree and thought about what to give the boy for his birthday. Meat? No, he liked meat but they ate meat every time they went hunting, it had to be something special. Wolfhooks? No, the other wasn't as fond of wolfhooks as he was, it wouldn't be a special present for him. Windwheel asters? It was his favourite flower, he had told that to Razor in a conversation they had, but windwheel asters didn't grow on Wolvendom, the closest batch being next to a statue of the seven near Springvale. No, he would not go to Springvale, that place had already caused trouble for the wolf pack and he didn't want to risk hurting his lupical.

Failing on thinking about a good enough present, he stood up and went to do something, exploring the area could give him some ideas. Walking around the forest looking for anything that might be a potential present, he heard an explosion. Razor ran in the direction of the explosion already imagining what it was, and just as he thought, he found Klee, standing close to a hole in the ground.

Klee was a little girl from Mondstadt, she was usually wearing a red dress with a clover pattern, together with a red hat and pigtails. She had met the wolf boy on one of her trips to Wolvendom, and since then they have developed a friendship. He takes care of her and she teaches him about fun things to do.

-Razor! Klee's so happy to see you!

The girl said with a smile:

-Klee. Can... Can you help me?

-Huh? Sure! What do you need help with?

-I-I need a birthday gift. For Bennett.

-Oh right! Bennett will have a birthday soon! Of course, Klee can help Razor! Do you already know what you will give?

-No...

-That's okay! Don't worry Razor! Klee will come to the rescue!

She grabbed her backpack and sat down, the boy sat beside her, she opened her pack and took out a notebook and some crayons. Then, she set them at the area in front of her:

-Big brother Albedo always makes me a pretty drawing for my birthday, how about you make a drawing for Bennett?

-But... but I don't know how to draw.

-That's okay! I can teach you!

And so she did. Surprisingly, Klee was an actual good teacher. Razor spent the whole afternoon making that drawing, he really wanted the adventurer to like his present, he tried his best not to colour out of the lines (even though he failed miserably at it) and even wrote a little message with the best calligraphy he could do.

When he finished, the boy noticed it was already night. He stood up and held his drawing thigh, he wouldn't lose it no matter what. He would give Klee's crayons back the next time he saw her, that won't take too long, she came to Wolvendom very often. Then the wolf boy left and went to where the pack was staying, where he curled up comfortably next to the other wolves. He had to have a lot of energy for tomorrow because tomorrow was going to be Bennett's birthday.
