Chapter 24: Dad!

Bennett and Razor slept on the sofa, they were trying to play a game of cards but the wolf boy did not understand the rules properly, and ended up sleeping in the middle of the others explanation, who ended up falling asleep too. The adventurer's dad was the same as the first time the electro user was there, he wasn't happy when he came back from grocery shopping and saw the boys cuddled on the couch, but he didn't have the guts to wake them up, and instead waited for them to do it on their own.

When they did, the boys didn't know his dad was already there, so they just laid there, joking about the failed card game. But the dad did notice they were awake, but he just watched them:

-I did not understand the game - Razor mumbled - It was too hard.

-Maybe you would've understood if you didn't sleep in the middle of my explanation.

-I was tired. And you slept too.

-After you slept and I had nothing to do.

-You could have woken me up.

-You would hate me if I did. Don't say you wouldn't.

-I wouldn't.

Bennett smiled and laid his head down, closing his eyes. Razor wrapped his arms around the adventurer's waist and kissed his forehead:

-Maybe next time we will play the game properly.

-Yeah, maybe.

The boy's dad came out of the kitchen and into the living room, he looked at the boys, but only the electro user noticed him, he whispered to the other:

-Benny.

-Let me sleep.

-Benny, your dad is here.

He got up quickly, making the other let go of him, who sat too:

-Uhm, hey, dad.

-Please come to the kitchen, Bennett, I need to talk to you.

-Oh, ok...

He looked back at Razor and said quietly:
-Go back to Wolvendom, I'll be there, I promise.

The wolf boy got up silently and left, the other put his cards away and went to the kitchen, sat down at the table and looked at his dad:
-I don't like where this is going.

-What?

-You and that boy. Your dad said that you and him are...

-Were not dad please.

-But you do have some sort of relation.

-We uhm, we're dating.

-Dating?

-Yeah.

-Oh my...

Bennett shifted on his chair, his dad was definitely not very happy to hear that, he got up and walked to the boy:

-Look, I wouldn't mind if it were some other boy, but Razor? He's kind of weird, when you first met him, he didn't even know english, he's not from here, he's an outcast-

-But I'm an outcast dad, most people don't even want to get near me, and if they do like me, it's from freaking pity. And he does know English now.

-Yes I know, but aren't we trying to change that? If you dated someone with respect then I wouldn't be here, but that boy isn't even from here, how would he help?
-He helps by making me happy, and actually wanting to be around me, not just because he feels sorry but because he likes being with me. For me, that's more than enough.

-But he doesn't help fix your reputation, he just makes it worse.

-I rather have a terrible reputation than being away from him.

-Well, it will hurt me to say so, but you'll have to.

-Wha- dad!

Bennett laid at his bed, looking at the ceiling, what was he going to do? How could his dad not let him see his boyfriend? He didn't do anything wrong, it didn't make sense! The boy got up and started walking around, then he heard knocking on the door, and a female voice:

-Hey Bennett! Can I come in?

He opened the door, Fischl? What was she doing here?
