Taking down Superman

A/N: Important note, Batman doesn't have any of his contingency plans yet along with no kryptonite. They will all come after this fight but for now, they have nothing that can harm Superman. Also, the three got exposed to a very unstable chemical that caused them to go into an uncontrolled rage, destroying everything in their way.

Metropolis 23/11/2021 1500hrs

The flight over to Metropolis was intense without a doubt. The pair were basically in communication with Batman the entire trip discussing strategies for taking down the most powerful man on the planet along with Wonder Woman and the king of the ocean.

Finally settling on Batman breaking into Lex Corp. to steal some of Luthor's kryptonite, Speedy and Robin would have to dispose of Aquaman whilst the rest focus on keeping Superman occupied. The speedsters were so far doing a great job of taking down Diana but it would take some time.

Slowing down enough for Harper to jump out, Jake started flying straight in the direction of the Kryptonian. Firing a barrage of 30mm rounds at the blue target, Jake quickly gained the man's attention. Pulling the jet up towards the sky, Overwatch tried to lead Superman away from the city to minimize civilian casualties.

Suddenly two glowing red lasers zipped past the left wing as the enraged alien tried to take down his attacker. Gunning the throttle and pulling the nose up, Jake hit the airbrakes, causing Superman to fly straight past him. Bringing the nose back down, Jake unloaded everything in the plane's arsenal. Missiles and rockets did nothing to Superman but it sure pissed him off, hitting the eject just in time. Overwatch flew out of the cockpit as Superman crashed through the multi-billion dollar plane.

Leaping from the seat, Overwatch dived down to the ground, still trying to lead Clark away from civilians. He would deploy his wings every now and then to gain some distance and control. Crashing into the dirt on the outskirts of the city, Overwatch got up with a painful grunt as he saw his opponent coming straight at him. Noticing a construction site a few hundred meters away, Overwatch sprinted in the general direction but the Man of steel was already on him.

Grabbing him by the arm, the enraged Kryptonian threw Jake towards the construction site like a ragdoll. Twisting his body to try and gain some aerodynamics, Jake deployed his wings only to be shot down by Superman's lasers. Going straight through his left wing and just grazing his abdomen, Overwatch screamed in pain as he landed barely past the construction site's fenceline.

Looking back at his opponent, Superman was walking toward him with red eyes. Jake could practically feel the anger coming off him in waves. Milliseconds before he could take the shot, Martain Manhunter landed right next to the Kryptonian, punching him right in the jaw. Sending him flying off to the side. Flying over to Jake, the martian had a mixed look in his red eyes, Overwatch couldn't tell if it was surprise, fear, pride, or a mix of all of them.

"Are you hurt? You took that fall pretty hard."

"I'm alright." Jake lied, his arm was in agony from where the alien grabbed him and his torso was burning. "We've never met, I'm Overwatch." He said, stretching out his arm to shake the Martain's hand.

"Hello Overwatch, my name is J'ohn but you might know me as Martain Manhunter," J'ohn replied with a smile stretching across his green lips. "Nice to meet you J'ohn, listen I don't have the strength to fight Superman up close but if you could lure him over to that building over there, I could bring the whole structure down on top of him."

Agreeing with this plan, J'ohn headed off to engage the pissed Kryptonian while Jake prepared the trap. As the two extra-terrestrials battled, Overwatch used up all of his explosives on the support beams of the building. The site wasn't that far done yet, the steel girders had just been placed and the second story had only recently had its floor installed. Using his grappler, Overwatch zoomed up to the second floor. Landing in wet concrete, Overwatch walked over to the edge of the building.

Taking out his bow, Overwatch started giving J'ohn supporting fire with anything he could grab. This really helped the Martian seeing as the Kryptonian was just vastly more powerful than he was. The distraction was just enough for J'ohn to gain the upper hand and direct Superman over to the trap. Just before the Man of steel reached the perimeter of the site, Jake's comm buzzed to life, it was Batman;

"Overwatch, I have the Kryptonite with me and I'm heading over to your position. Status update?"

"All good, Martian Manhunter and I have led him to a construction site on the outskirts of the city. We have him occupied for now but I am running out of munitions and I don't know how long J'ohn can last. How's it going with the rest?"

"Aquaman is down but Diana has critically injured Kid Flash, Flash has sped off to the nearest hospital. Robin and Speedy have engaged Wonder Woman and should have her out of the fight soon."

"Good, listen up, we have a trap set up that could keep Clark down for a few precious seconds. Do you want us to wait till you arrive? It'll make your job a lot easier if he is pinned under a building for a moment."

"Copy that, wait till my arrival. I am two minutes out. Batman out." The line went dead. Calling out to J'ohn that they have to keep Clark occupied for a few more minutes, Jake grappled down to the ground, to join the fight more up close. He was out of arrows, ditching the bow and quiver, Overwatch sent a barrage of batarangs at Superman. Earning a pair of red lasers directed at his chest. Flipping out of the way, Overwatch ran at his opponent's back while J'ohn kept him occupied. Grabbing his taser, Overwatch jumped on top of the Kryptonian, sending volts of electricity into the alien's neck causing him to yell out in annoyance. Grabbing Jake by the foot, Superman swung him into the Martain, sending both of them tumbling through the fence.

Overwatch saw the Batmobile pull up to the curb, signaling to Martain Manhunter that it was time. The two threw everything they had at the advancing Kryptonian. Just as Clark was under the building, Overwatch jumps out of the construction site with the detonator in his hand. The bottom of the building burst into a puff of smoke as the entire site came crashing down on the two aliens. Overwatch knew that J'ohn would just go in-tangent and fly through all the rubble, Superman however would have to dig his way out.

As the Kryptonian crawled out of the rubble, Batman was already on him with a large rock made from Kryptonite. Superman tried to resist but eventually succumbed to the radiation from the rock. Passing out on the pile of steel below him. Batman handed the Kryptonite to Jake who proceeded to slice a small piece off with his blowtorch. Putting a pair of cuffs on Clark, Jake tapped the small piece of Kryptonite to the center.

Hopefully, this would keep him unconscious long enough for the chemical to fully go through his system. Putting the Kryptonian in the back of the Batmobile, Overwatch hopped in the passenger seat as Batman sped off towards Washington where the Hall of Justice was located.
