Jake had been here with the League of Assasins for five days but for him it felt like it had been a month. Every day he would be woken up at three in the morning and be sent on a leg breaking run through the mountain ranges with nothing but a set of robes and runners. He would have two hours to complete the 25km trail but given the terrain, he never made it back within that timeframe. Even with his enhanced body, Jake couldn't move that fast through the mountains in the freezing cold and harsh winds. He knew he was always being watched as well, on the first day he tried to run away but was soon caught by half a dozen assasins with guns and swords.

After his morning beating for not completing the run on time, Jake would be given a light green slop that was supposedly high in nutrients yet it tasted like wet paper dipped in sea water. Even then, he wouldn't be left in peace. The sledgehammer assasin would be bereting him with insults anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes before smashing Jake's food in front of him. If Jake did anything that didn't please the man, he would receive yet another beating.

When he had received his "fair punishment", he would be shifted between different trainning courses. All of them had the same objective; turn him into a mindless warrior. Luckily, this was the only time of the day that Jake got to hit back at his captors and not be punished for it. There were four different "classes" for him to master; sword, physical exercise, martial arts, and strategy.

Martial arts would usually be first in the day, though Jake was very potent in Jujitsu, Judo, Karate and Kickboxing, the League wanted even more from him. Nissa oversaw that he was never given a fair fight when it came down to it. She would always pit him against bigger and stronger opponents, sometimes even three at one. The goal was to push Jake to realise that the only way to beat his enemies would be to kill them. But he either too resilent, stupid or just plain old stubborn to submit to the pressure. As usual, he would get absolutely demolished by the bigger opponents as a result of his reluctance.

Sword trainning wasn't just about swords, Talia made sure that Jake got his fill of the more unique weapons. Battle axes, spears, staffs, daggers, all were firmly introduced to him. Basically he would enter the trainning room and she would attack him with one of thse weapons, and she wouldn't be holding back. When he eventually found something to defend himself, his body would be littered with cuts and bruises from the assault. Talia made sure that Jake knew that she was in control of the situation and that he was only there because he was on her terms. But nevertheless, Jake studied every strike and parry Talia would throw at him and had eventually started using her own moves against her, much to her annoyance.

Physical exercise had been the most brutal out of all the training sessions. The sledgehammer guy, which Jake found out was named Lantuu, was tasked with finding the limits of Jake's new abilities. This meant that none of the lessons were ever the same, the first was just a practical one of lifting weights but with a twist. The exercise wasn't there to test his strength, rather it was there to test his endurance. Lantuu had ordered Jake to lift a large wood column above his head that weighed approximately 75kg, Jake would then have to hold that column above his head for as long as he could. If the instructor wasn't happy with his performance, then Jake had to do it again. Other sessions included things like obstacle courses, long distance running, weather conditioning, all with the same goal; push the limits of the boy and break his spirit.

Strategy and tactics was a class that challenged Jake to a whole new level. This class would be taught by Ra's personally, it generally consisted of a situation where one would plan an attack while the other planned some defences. Seemingly simple enough, but Jake had a gut feeling that these felt a bit too realistic. Sometimes it would be attacking an oil rig or defending a research facility, but altogether, Jake consumed the knowledge like a pig at a buffet.
