Watchtower 14/11/2022 0730hrs

Following hours of sustained combat against the Light's robotic forces, the League were beyond depleted. After the last members returned to the Watchtower, everyone went into a deep slumber of sorts. As Overwatch walked towards the medical bay, he found many different League members leaning against walls or laying down on the floor, trying to find some form of rest after their last gruelling assignment.

Multiple heroes had been seriously injured in the battle against the Light. As a result, the medical bay was more packed than it ever was before. Both Alfred and John Diggle had been called up to the Watchtower for their medical expertise. Alfred was obviously very skilled in this area of medical practice following years of patching up both Bruce and Dick after their many adventures. Diggle was a retired Army Ranger, meaning he was also trained in First Aid, though not as skilled as Agent A, he could still find his way around an operating table and be useful.

Some of the wounded heroes were Superman, Superboy, Batman, Hawkman and both Atlanteans. Martian Manhunter was injured due to the flamethrowers utilized by the robots but made a quick recovery thanks to his alien healing factor. Conner was still unconscious but Alfred told Jake that all of the kryptonite had been removed and all he needed now was time to heal. Hawkman only had a dislocated arm and a minor fracture in his left wing, with a cast and some pain meds, he will be back in the fight within only a few weeks.

Bruce's condition was nothing new to Alfred but the severity of the cuts and the number of broken ribs meant that the billionaire would have to come up with a way more convincing story than just a skiing accident in the Alps. Even though the Dark Knight tried to object to Alfred's instructions, Jake convinced him to take it easy by saying that he'll tell Jason where the on switch is for the Batmobile. Quickly shutting up and taking his medicine, Wayne put a spare suit on and headed for the observation deck where Robin was anxiously waiting for him.

However, that was pretty much where the good news ended on the medical front. Both Aquaman and Aqualad were severely dehydrated and burnt from Black Manta's lasers and required specialised treatment in Atlantis. Diana and Megan agreed to take them via the Zeta Tubes and hand them over to the aquatic doctors. Clark was in a critical state, the knife that Luthor had stabbed him with had come dangerously close to his heart and had left fragments of kryptonite stuck inside.

Though he was stable for now, the chances that he would be back at full strength anytime soon were slim to none. Coming up with a plan, Jake proposed that he take both Clark and Conner to the Fortress of Solitude and maybe find some advanced Kryptonian technology that could help them. Despite severe reluctance on both Alfred and Diggle's part, they gave Jake the green light to try and heal the injured heroes.

Quickly jogging back to his old workstation, Jake was super grateful for the healing factor that had replenished his strength after only a few hours and healed most of his injuries. Opening the door to the workshop, Overwatch was happy to find that nothing had changed since he was last here. Heading over to his bench, Jake quickly synthesized a fresh set of armour plates via the advanced 3D printer. While that was underway, he replenished his supply of weapons and ammo and inserted a new battery pack into his suit to power his helmet's sensors.

Seconds after the last plate had been printed, Jake geared up and returned to the medical bay where both heroes had been carefully moved onto stretchers. Before he could leave, Bruce approached him and said that if he wanted to get through the security systems of the fortress, it would be best for him to tag along. Accepting the offer, Bruce pulled his cowl over his head and started to push Clark's stretcher. Following his old trainer's lead, Jake equipped his mask and pushed Conner's gurney towards the Zeta tubes.

Fortress of Solitude 14/11/2022 0800hrs

"Arriving Overwatch 00, Superman 01, Batman 02, Superboy B04"

After the four heroes entered through the teleportation platform, Overwatch and Batman continued to push their respective gurneys forward toward the main hall. Suddenly, a blue streak sped towards Overwatch, knocking him off his feet and crashing into the ice-blue wall behind him. Groaning from the blow, Overwatch opened his eyes to see Bruce flying towards the adjacent wall.

Looking towards the enemy, the thing stopped centimetres in front of Overwatch, grabbing him by the throat and starting to squeeze. Jake couldn't believe his eyes, the enemy was none other than Superman. This one just had a large yellow visor and small metallic pieces on his suit. As the Kryptonian duplicate's eyes glowed red, a voice sounded from one of the gurneys. "Eradicator, stand down, these are friends."

"Yes Kal'el." The duplicate replied with a robotic voice before doing an assessment of his master. "Kal-el, you are seriously wounded, I must suggest that you be placed in the solarium to heal from your injuries."

"That would be a great idea." Clark stated before starting to cough out blood. Rushing to his side, Jake looked at the wound. One of the shards must have pierced an organ, causing him to cough crimson liquid all across his hand. Passing out again on the gurney, Jake looked hastily towards the Eradicator; "Take me to the Solarium, NOW!"

Following Overwatch's commands, the Eradicator guided Jake to a large glass chamber filled with a strange liquid. Upon inserting the wounded Kryptonian, Jake felt the substance, it was cold to the touch but flowed similar to water. As the Eradicator started the healing procedure, Overwatch asked how the chamber worked.

The Eradicator explained that the substance in the tank was a purified version of water, chemically only consisting of Hydrogen and Oxygen. The water was also mixed with advanced versions of anti-biotics and cleaning agents that removed any dangerous bacteria from wounds. Nanites would flow into the wounds and remove all traces of Kryptonite before leaving the host's body. Concentrated solar rays would then start beaming at the Kryptonian, reactivating his healing factor and recharging his "battery".

After about 45 minutes of waiting, Clark finally exited the tank, back at full strength. Now it was Conner's turn, placing him in the tank and activating the cycle, it wasn't long before the teenager also joined the other heroes back in the hall. Informing the Kryptonians of what had occurred since they were last awake, the group made their way back to the Watchtower to check up on the rest of the League.
