Mount Justice 10/11/2022 0330hrs

Wally woke to the sound of huffing and puffing in the distance, getting up and putting on a hoodie. The speedster stumbled through the darkened corridors of the mountain while heading to the origin of the noise. Finding himself at the entrance of the gym, Wally peeked inside to see what was going on.

Overwatch was busy lifting extremely heavy weights that West estimated to be around 150-180kg. No music or anything, just working out in complete silence apart from the noise coming from his mouth. Walking over to the training hero, Wally interrupted his routine; "Hey uh, Overwatch, why are you working out at like three in the morning? Is everything all good?"

"Yeah I'm fine, just getting an extra session in." Jake replied in between breaths, silently telling KF to leave him alone. Retreating from the gym, Wally went back to bed to get some sleep.

Mount Justice 10/11/2022 0630hrs

When Conner's alarm went off, he smacked his hand down in protest. Urging his body to go back to sleep, Conner tried to go back to his dreamless slumber but failed nonetheless. Throwing himself out of bed, he got changed and exited his quarters. Hearing a distant sound in the depths of the base, Superboy marched down to where he thought the noise might be coming from.

Finding Overwatch in the combat simulator taking on multiple combatants, Conner watched from the corner as Overwatch dispatched half a dozen foes within seconds as more spawned in, this time with swords. Taking out his own sword, Jake ferociously charged at his enemy, disarming all of them and rendering them unable to fight by breaking multiple bones.

Just before exiting, Conner hesitated, wondering if he should say something to the clearly disturbed hero who was now taking on even more enemies that were armed with assault rifles and explosives. Deciding that it was best to leave, Conner turned around and headed back to the kitchen where the other members of the team would soon be meeting for breakfast. 

Mount Justice 10/11/2022 0800hrs

The team was gathered around the living room talking about upcoming things like the end of the school term and Christmas break. But there was only one missing person, Overwatch was still in the training room going at it with simulated combat. He was now busy fighting major villains like Mr. Freeze, Bane, Solomon Grundy, Killer Croc, King Shark, and Blockbuster. Most of them were restricted for the team to train against due to their high lethality, the only time when they would spar against them would be together as a team and under the supervision of Black Canary. But Overwatch was fighting against these opponents one on one, or sometimes even two on one, what's more impressive was that he was actually winning.

He was moving faster, hitting harder and being more tactically in tune than any of them had witnessed before. Gracefully switching between gadgets like a juggler throwing pins in the air, alternating which ones to use to the best effect. Jake even fought against Bane using nothing but his bare hands and evidently avoiding his opponent's weaknesses. Beating him with just sheer strength and speed.

After finishing fighting Croc for the third time, Overwatch replenished his supplies and moved intently to the kitchen where the team was waiting for him. They had been watching him on the TV via the CCTV cameras after wondering where he was. Kaldur was the first to speak once Jake entered the kitchen. "My friend, I was never aware that you could perform such incredible combat feats."

"Thanks Kaldur, if you don't mind I'm kind of in a rush right now. Places to be, people to arrest, I'm sure you understand." Overwatch briskly answered as he rapidly made himself something to eat while downing a water bottle. "Overwatch, you seem to be pushing yourself extremely hard today. Are you alright?" Artemis asked hesitantly, she knew better than most that heroes tend to keep their personal feelings locked deeply away.
