*Your guys i'm posting this on my phone and not my laptop because the wattpad website is being so weird and not letting me upload, so sorry if the format looks different*
I'm actually posting, for the first time all summer lol. This summer was awful for me, I had so much crap I had to deal with, which left no time for writing, but that's not any of y'all's worries. Anyway I wish that I could say that I would be back steady, but I legitimately just had my first day of University today sooooo. But we will see. Also I kinda want to start another imagine book like i've mentioned in the past, the same "flavor of the week idea" where I would write random one-shots over whomever I am fixated over at the time, right now it would be Bridgerton and Shameless lol, really loving the they fell first, but he fell harder (Penelope and Colin / Ian and Mickey). Anyway maybe you will see me in a week or in three months, we shall see. (Does anyone read my long ass entries here anyways lol).

"That was another thing that changed you"
2623 Words
Working in an emergency room changes a person.
Some for the worst and some for the better.
For some it's drastic and for others, it's simple things.
For you, it changed you in simple ways, ways that benefited you and the people around you.
You were forced to mature, not that you weren't mature before, but being an emergency doctor you saw things no humans should ever see.
You also were forced to become more organized. Gaffney Medical Center's emergency room was organized chaos, and you thrived in it.
From a young age, you knew that you wanted to become a doctor.
Other little girls wanted to be ballerinas and movie stars, but not you.
No, you wanted to help people.
Just like your parents did.
Your mother was a true humanitarian. She was a pro-bono lawyer who fought for women affected by abusive relationships.
And your father was a military man. He spent lots of his life overseas helping clear villages and make sure the people in the countries he was in were not being affected by war. And when he was home he was the nicest man ever and the best dad.
And you wanted to be just like them.
For years you were the only child, soaking in all the excess love that your parents had to give you. They had you young, they were both fifteen when you were born. But they didn't let anything hold them back, you saw them struggle with being teen parents but you also were watching all their accomplishments.
But then almost two years ago your life changed.
Your parents had called you and asked if you could come over after your shift, they had something they needed to talk to you about.
You had no idea what they wanted to talk about but you could tell there was an emergency in their voice.
Walking up the steps into your childhood home you let yourself in and dropped your bag down and took off your coat, walking into the kitchen where you saw your mom and dad standing.
"Mom", you said as she turned to face you.
"Y/N honey, you're here", your mom exclaimed, panic clear on her face.
