"Alright class, I know last night has been great to some of you but now it's time for the real work."
Loki walked in. With a smooth swift he placed his bag on his desk. He looked tensed, less happier than yesterday. He took off his coat and hung it up on the hanger next to the door.
"It's our first day so we better start quickly so we don't fall behind on schedule throughout the year. Look, I know you all have your opinions on getting tutored by me and that you all have your version of me in your minds. But as long as you work in this class, as long as you do your 'homework' and study and don't try to mess with me. We all will be fine."
He brushed his raven black hair back. He was wearing black pants with a darker green shirt. Of course, his signature colors. There was a ring.
Was he married? To whom?
I felt my heart sink in my chest. I don't know why. Why does it sadden me that he is married? A teacher?
I have to be honest with myself. He is a rather handsome man. Nicely dressed, smells amazing, eye for details.... He's just- perfect. The woman that is about to marry him must be extraordinary. A goddess. Of course, a god doesn't expect lesser than that and definitely not a student like me.
Would he even dare? He's the God of Mischief, would he do 'mischief' with students? I wouldn't mind to be honest. Imagine those hands travel over your body. His voice, his beautiful voice moaning your name as you bring him pleasure-
"Freya, could you please answer", he snapped me out of my dream.
"Could you repeat the question sir? I didn't quite get it."
"I asked if you could tell me about the Battle in Wakanda in the Midgardian year 1883."
"No sir, I'm sorry."He let out a little disapproving groan and continued his class. I tried to answer as much as I could. I couldn't afford Loki not liking me. 'But as long as you work in this class, as long as you do your 'homework' and study and don't try to mess with me. We all will be fine.' His words!
After class I met up with Lea in the school's restaurant.
"How were your first classes", I asked her.
"Well there's a Peter Parker in my class. He's a bit of a nerdy type together with his friend Ned. I caught him fidgeting on something around his wrist, but I couldn't tell what he was doing."
"Maybe something was itching. A mosquito byte."
"No, it was as if he was building something", she said while thinking.
"Alright Sherlock Holmes, give it a break. I'm sure he knows what he was doing.""How about your classes with professor Laufeyson", she asked, "Still a monster?"
"Not quite. He made some clear rules at the beginning and I might have blew things up between us."
"Oh god, what happened."
"I couldn't answer a question that I should have."
"Why couldn't you?"The door flew open and Loki stepped inside with his brother and another female teacher. I don't know who she was. She wasn't an Avenger. Maybe some Asgardian? They sat down at the table next to ours. I might have been staring at them since the three of them looked at me in confusion. Loki gave me a little wave that awoke me from my trance.
"I wonder why she couldn't answer his question", Lea said.
"You think-"
"That you fancy your professor? Absolutely."Was she right?
"You're imagining things."
She raised her eyebrows combined with a little smirk and continued her lunch.I don't know what I have to think of Loki. Yes he is mischievous. He's handsome and sexy as hell. He's intelligent and with what I know about him, he reads poetry. That must make him very intelligent and grown-up. Grown-up... Freya for goodness sake he's your teacher! Your professor for two of your most important subjects! You can't blow this up with some hormonal swings!
Kindergarden is over. I need to focus on my studies and future. I can't get involved into anything romantic with him. At least not now...
"Do you guys mind if we join you", this Peter kid from Lea's class asked.
"Sure", she said after eyeing me to check.
"Sure", I repeated. He and his friend, I assume Ned, sat down next to us. Peter next to me, Ned next to Lea.
"I'm Peter Parker", he introduced himself to me. He offered me a hand to shake, little bit awkwardly.
"Freya." He looked at me in awe and told me it was a pleasure to meet me.
"What do you study for", he asked.
"Master of Arts in History", I told him.
"Sounds super difficult", Ned commented.
"I'm okay with it."
"So wait- history? That means your professor-"
"Is me", a low male voice said from behind us.Loki!
"Hello professor Laufeyson I-", Peter started to get nervous. The kid probably thought Loki would cut his head off and feed it to Chitauri. What do those aliens actually eat?
"They don't eat human heads", Loki talked a little too himself.Did he hear me?
"Professor Laufeyson, what a pleasant surprise", I greeted him.
"Hello miss Freya, now if none of you have any problems left with me being Freya's teacher-"
"No", the others said quickly in unism. I giggled and Loki walked away.
"This was odd", Peter said as he let go of all the tension in his body.
"Stop being so nervous about Loki. He's nice."
"She just finds him hot", Lea spoke a little too loud. Loki turned his head.Shit!
I quickly smiled and put my attention back to Peter.
That teacher is going to be the end of me.
"Or the beginning little wildfire."
