Chapter 10

"Good afternoon class! Thank you all for submitting your essays on time and to keep track on your tasks while I was gone. Now for today I would like to focus on your exams. If you have any questions, something that's unclear, ask away", Loki explained. 

I stared in front of me. At him. Studying every detail of him. I missed him terribly while he was gone. He still hadn't told me why he left. I suppose some Asgardian matter or Avengers business, but I would've loved to know how he was. I skipped school because it didn't feel right without him. I kept studying, but did that on my own. I didn't feel like meeting and seeing people. 

Lea and Peter knew something was wrong with me. They tried to convince me to not skip classes, without any results. Every night they would knock on my door to check on me. 

Why do I love him so much?

"Freya, is everything clear for you", Loki asked me. A sparkle in his eyes. I snapped out of my thoughts and answered something quickly.
"I got one question on this chapter sir. Would you care to explain it for me?"
"Of course."

He walked closer to my desk and looked at what I was talking about. He was rubbing his lips with his index finger and looked closely. I looked closely at him. 
"Ah, I see what you mean", he suddenly said. He started to explain the subject briefly and pointed in my textbook. I followed his finger that was sliding over the images and text.

Those fingers... I remembered the pleasure they brought me that evening on his desk. The way they curled perfectly and thrusted at the perfect rhythem. 

"Focus Freya, before you get punished for not paying attention."

His voice was in my head. 

"I hope you understand now", he finished his explanation.
"Thank you sir", I said quickly. 

He walked away and continued helping the other students. During class I tried to make some summaries of the subjects we saw. The bell rang and it was lunchbreak. I met up with Lea and Peter to go to the cafeteria. We waited in line for our lunch and sat down at an empty table. 

"How were your classes so far", Lea asked. 
"They were alright", I said. 
"Loki's back I see", she said as she watched him enter the cafetaria and join the queue. Girls turned around and started giggling. Boys were terrified when they walked passed him. 

"He always looks so angry", Peter said carefully. 
"What do you mean", I asked. 
"I don't know. He gives angry vibes." 
"I quite like him", I said. I looked at him and he noticed. He smiled and gave me a little wave.
"He sure does like you too", Peter noticed.

Loki got his food and walked over to the teacher's table. He joined his colleagues and started eating his lunch.

"Why did you skip classes the past weeks", Lea asked.
"I didn't feel so good. The classes weren't the same without him. That substitute teacher sucked and was boring as fuck."
"So you basically left cos Loki was gone too?"
"Yeah, basically."
"Quite a devotion to a teacher."
"I suppose so."

Later after school, Loki and I met up in the woods. He walked us to his little cottage. We talked about school, the upcoming exams. But also about our interests. Loki told me he always loved theater. Not just watching, but also making it. He loved the drama. Shocking...

"Never tried performing yourself", I asked.
"No, not really. I love making drama, but I'm not that good. When I tried to disguise myself as my father I let two actors from Asgard perform a play about me."
"Oh really? What was it called", I asked.
"The tragedy of Loki of Asgard: a play to remember our fallen hero", he said dramatic.
"Oh god, that's so dramatic."

He let out a little "ehehe", his signature laugh. I chuckled.
"We should go out sometimes", he suggested.
"Where to", I asked him.
"I've got an idea. There's a play in New York. It's about the Avengers. We could go?"
"I don't know if you realize this but we're in New Asgard. I flew 12 hours from New York to get here!"
"But it's the holiday season Freya. I'm sure we can leave for two days?" He raised his eyebrows and gave me puppy eyes. He's irresistible.
"Fine, we can go", I yielded. He got excited and kissed me passionately.

"We can leave in two days. I'll fix us our transport. If you want, we can stay at the Avengers Compound. I still have my room there", he winked. 
"Wait, the Avengers Compound? Am I allowed to get in there", I asked in disbelief.
"Sure, I'll make it allowed."
