Illegal lover - professor Loki Laufeyson fanfiction

Chapter 1

New York. 

I was living with my mother. A place where a battle took place around ten years ago. The Battle of New York. Loki was attacking the city with his alien army, Chitauri. Since then the world has changed. 

At the time, I was still a little girl. I don't remember much but demolished buildings and dust.Now I was going to start a new chapter in my life. University. 

I was going to study abroad: New Asgard. Very little students got to study there. I applied early, worked for very good grades and apparently the jury was impressed. Their university is not easy to get in. Which is obvious. Who wouldn't want to go to school built by an Avenger and where his brother teaches?

Loki.

He had become a teacher at his brother's uni. He wanted to show the world, the universe, that he had become a good man and Avenger.

Many different species from other planets went to their uni. After all, Thor was a friend of the universe and the universe a friend of his. He wants the youth to learn from the mistakes made in the past, but also pass on skills for if something like that may happen again.

I wonder what Loki teaches.

"Freya where are you", my mother shouted through the house.
"Coming!"

She was going to drop me off at the airport. I was leaving to New Asgard today!

"There you are. Got everything", she asked.
"Yes mother."
"I am very proud of you and what you're gonna achieve. You're gonna do great things. After all you are named after one of the-"
"The strongest queens the universe has had. I know mom." She was getting so quirky.

Yes, I am named after Thor and Loki's mother Frigga. My mother has had a passion for Norse Mythology. Seeing the gods in real life was a shock for her.

We got in the car and left to the airport. I checked in, went through security checks and finally, after hours of waiting, in excitement got on the plane. We took off smoothly and disappeared into the night sky. New York was left behind. A new adventure awaits.

I woke up to the captain talking through the speakers, announcing that we're going to land. The plane touched ground. We got escorted to the arriving hall of the airport.

I saw a man holding a board saying "Students of NA university this way".

I think that is my guide.

"Hello", I greeted the man.
"Hello I am Skurge", he introduced himself.
"Freya."
"Beautiful name. You're a first year student I assume." I nodded and he told me to wait beside him until everyone arrived. We weren't with many people from New York.

Skurge led us to our vessel. It was able to fly. Of course, Asgard has magic. I better get used to that.

We got inside and left the airport. After a moment I could see New Asgard in the distance. Our school was at the border of a forest. Skurge landed the vessel and helped us out.

"Here we are students. As some of you know I am Skurge and it is my duty to protect the University and its students of course throughout the year. I will take you to your new school where you will be introduced to Thor and Loki Odinson."

He asked us to follow him and so we did. We arrived at the schoolgates. Thor and Loki were already waiting for our arrival. Other groups joined us, I heard all different languages, I saw alien species...

Both Thor and Loki were in a suit. I was in the front. Loki's eyes pierced through me. He had a stern look but gave me a wink and smiled a little.

Not so fearsome after all.

"Hello everyone, I'm Thor, God of Thunder. This is my brother Loki, God of Mischief as you all know. Welcome to this school! I hope you all find what you're looking for. That you leave with a good feeling, knowledge and an enriched mind. My brother and I will take you to your rooms where you will all study hard of course," he let out a stiff laugh, "Once you are all settled we would like to invite you to the opening party this evening. Please dress up, celebrate and enjoy your time at this university!"

The two gods opened the doors. We walked inside and were amazed by what we saw. Different elements clearly powered by magic. Other Midgardian elements. Things built by and in honor of the Avengers. Photos of students dressing up as Avengers for Halloween.

This was going to be unique.

Our group was devided in two. My group was taken under Loki's wings while Thor took the others, mostly alien species. Loki gave everyone the key to their room and waited for everyone to get settled in.

He was walking around, smiling and checking up on everyone. He knocked on my door. It was open, but still he knocked.

"Hello, we haven't been introduced properly. I am Loki."
"I know who you are sir. I'm Freya."
"Wonderful name", he said. He stepped inside and helped me take unpack my stuff.

"You read", he asked as he took out my books.
"Is that so surprising?" I looked at him as I was hanging up clothes in my closet.
"No it's just that what you read is very interesting." He opened a book to see what it was about.
"I like poetry a lot."
"So do I."
"Professor my I ask what you teach?"
"I'll be your teacher for history and literature. But seeing these books and what they are about, I don't think it will be too hard for you", he said before giving me a soft smile. I asked him to put them on the shelve. After that he said goodbye and left my room to help others.

Interesting development...

After unpacking most of our stuff we were shown around campus, given us our school accounts so we can contact teachers and just some formal stuff.

"Well to celebrate your arrival and the new year we did promise you all a party", Thor spoke.
"Yes, it will start in two hours so please wear your most beautiful outfits and meet us here again", Loki finished.

Girls giggled and started to already think about their makeup and hair. Boys sighed and mocked each other on finding a date for tonight.

Do we really need a date?

"Hey you are my new neighbor. I'm Lea", a young woman introduced herself.
"I'm Freya", I introduced myself.
"Nice to meet you."

We walked to our rooms together and got to know each other a little more. While talking, I noticed a strong French accent. When I asked her where she was from she told me she lived in the South of France.

I was correct.

She opened the door to her room and showed me around a little. She had lots of gaming stuff and movie props.
"I'm a bit of a nerd."

When asked about my room she gasped and loved my literature books.
"I saw professor Loki help you unpack", she asked a bit nosy.
"He was very kind. I hope we will get along."
"I hope for you too. I assume he'll be your teacher."
"Yes, literature and history."
"Makes sense", she giggled.

We took our clothes and got changed. I put my hair up and wore some rings. As for clothes, I chose a simple summer dress.

Lea got out of her room and we went to the party together. There were lights and music. Tables decorated and food waiting to be consumed. Thor and Loki were sitting at a long table with next to them other teachers.

Thor greeted us and told us to have a wonderful evening. Lea and I sat down at a table. The music started and the party began.

During dinner my eyes trailed off to Loki, from time to time. When our eyes met he took his glass of wine and raised it to me. I smiled.

"I think you two will get along", Lea teased. I blushed and quickly continued my food.

Those green eyes. They were a pair to get lost in. They were a pair that would follow you, wander in your mind. They enchant you. They enchant me.

After dinner we started dancing. To my surprise and Loki's shame Thor was dancing too. And maybe he was a little drunk too. Lea and I left to our rooms. We weren't really the party type of people. That has been made clear this evening.

Tomorrow is the first day of school. How exciting!
