I don't want to be like him.

We stopped in front of the Creel house, letting Erica Lucas James and Max off, the whole way there Billy was telling Max he loves her and to be super duper careful. He even threatened the two boys if anything happened to them.

Now, we were parked in the woods.

"Okay. I want to run through it one more time. Phase one."I said turning around, facing everyone.

"Meet Erica and Lucas at the park."Robin answered, "they'll signal Max and James when we're ready."

"Phase two."

"Max beats Vecna. He'll go after her which'll put him in his trance."Steve said

"Phase three."

"Me Matt and Eddie draw the bats away."Dustin said making Eddie rub his head.

"Four?"

"We head into vecnas hopefully newly bat free lair and, famble."Billy said, shaking the bottle in his hand.

"Nobody moves onto the next phase until we've all, copied. Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what. Got it?"I said

"Got it."they all said getting up.

We all started making our way to Eddie's trailer.

"Be careful."Dustin told Steve while we all ran into Eddie's trailer.

"Thanks buddy, here goes nothing."Steve grunted, climbing up the rope.

We all stared up at him, he looked back at us shrugging

"Well, what does he want us to do applaud?"Robin asked looking at me and Nancy.

Nancy went through first, we threw the weapons up there than Eddie went down, then more weapons, then Robin, the rest of the weapons then Matt Dustin and I went through, last was Billy.

We all walked out, I stayed right by Matt, not wanting to leave him

"Hey guys listen. If anything starts to go south here at all. You abort, okay? Draw the attention of the bats. Keep em busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of vecna. Don't try to be cute, or be a hero or something. Okay you guys are just the-"

"Decoys."Dustin cut Steve off, "don't worry you can be the hero, Steve."

"Absolutely I mean, look at us. We are not heroes."Eddie smiled at Steve.

I walked away with Matt.

"Hey. Be careful okay? I can't loose anyone else. Your the only blood related family I have. You can't leave me with James, okay? And keep Dustin and Eddie safe too. You know how they are. You are the muscles of this group."

"Okay. Mom, I got it."he smiled, I turned around but he turned me back.

"Hey, I love you. Okay? Never forget that. I'll always love you. And don't tell James but, you were always my favorite sibling."he grinned

"I love you too, Matt. And you were always my favorite brother. But you come back to me. Okay? You better come back to me."I hugged him.

"Bea!"Billy yelled making me sprint over to them, I shot Dustin and Eddie a smile before we all started to walk towards the crane house.

"What if it doesn't work?"

I looked up at Billy with furrowed brows.

"I mean. What if we can't save Max, what if he gets her. And I never see her again. What if he's too strong for these stupid spears and shotguns."

"Hey. Don't talk like that. We're going to save her. I mean, we beat the Demogorgans, and the demodogs, and the mind flayer. We'll beat Vecna."

"Demogorgans?"

"Oh, yeah. Ugh, the year before you and Max moved here. Is when everything started up basically. The demodogs, that was just the babies, Demogorgans are the full grown versions. Way scarier if you ask me. They're huge. Slimy, terrifying."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Who knows. Maybe we'll see one."I teased, nudging him.

"Hey, you know how you said you wanted to tell me something earlier. But people were around? No one's around now."he said looking back at Steve and Nancy way behind us, and Robin way ahead of us.

"Um. Billy. I ugh, I'm pregnant."I said rather quickly, refusing eye contact.

"What? Sorry I didn't hear you."he brought his face closer to mine.

"I'm pregnant. Billy."

"Oh."he nodded looking away, I furrowed my brows.

He looked back at me with wide eyes, "Ooh."

"Yeah, ooh."I sighed looking ahead of us.

"How long?"

"Few weeks since I found out now."

"And you kept it from me for this long? Does anyone else know?"

"Nancy and Robin. And Matt."

"Okay. Okay. Are you keeping it?"

"I might. If we win this and all of us get out of here okay that I most likely will."

There was a few minutes of silence, he was probably taking it all in. I mean that is a lot to just take in, finding out your girlfriend for not even a year is pregnant, even though you've been hooking up for a year and a half. And the fact your literally saving the world right now.

"How do you feel about it?"I cut the silence, glancing at him.

"I'm ugh. I'm not sure. I mean I've always dreamt about having kids, but not this early. And I love the idea of having a baby with you, but don't you think we're too young? And everything that's going on its, it's just a lot to take in right now. Y'know? And the scariest part to even think about is my dad, what would my dad do if he found out I was having a baby? And what if I end up like him? What if one day it makes me so mad to the point I hit it. I don't want that to happen. I don't want to be like him."he rambled looking everywhere but me.

"Hey. Look at me, you aren't like him. Trust me, your nothing like that, that monster. He chose to be that way, you didn't make him and no one else made him that was his own decision to do that. So if you get put in his shoes and have two options, always, always, choose the option he didn't choose. Okay?"I stopped walking, grabbing his hands.

"Yeah. Yeah. Ok. I love you."he nodded, pulling me into a tight hug.

"I love you more."

"Impossible."he pulled back cupping my cheeks, planting a soft kiss on my lips.
