"Hey kids, do you know what's wrong with your father?"Tiffany stood in Matt's door, looking at the three of us.

"What do you mean?"Matt asked

"He's been acting weird lately. He hasn't been home in two days, normally he would tell me when he's leaving. And the other day he had a cut on his face but he wouldn't tell me from what, and he took a bath then just left, when I went into the bathroom the water was freezing and there were two empty bags of ice floating in the water."

"Ugh, no. That is weird."I furrowed Mt eyebrows, his face in the window of the sauna flashed in my mind.

"Okay, well if you see him or hear anything from him. Let me know, goodnight."she smiled at us all, pulling Matt's door shut.

I sighed laying back on his bed.

"What're we gonna do?"James asked

"Save him, we saved Will."I looked over at him. He leaned against the window, Matt sat in his desk chair.

"But what if we can't? This is ten times worse than Will."

"James, we'll save dad, I'm sure it can't be that bad-"

"Do you not remember how he held me in the air by my throat? The worst Will did was scream in his hospital bed, trust me I know. I was there."James yelled cutting me off.

"James-"Matt tried, he stormed past us and out the door.

"Shit."I rubbed my face in my hands.

"Mad Matt! Do you copy!"Lucas yelled

Before you say anything, that's been his code name since before Max and Billy showed up.

"Mad Matt here, over."he spoke into the walkie.

"Get your ass, your brother and sisters ass down to Hoppers cabin in the woods! Now!"Lucas screamed, in the distance I could hear faint roaring.

"Why?"

"Get Max and Billy too, their not answering, over and out."

"James!"we both yelled.

"Change of plans, head to the supermarket on main street."Lucas spoke into my walkie, in the distance I saw a giant creature crawling through the woods.

"What the fuck is that!"Billy yelled leaning onto my dashboard.

"Shit shit shit!"I yelled when it started speeding towards us, I made a sudden uturn sending the three in the back flying into each other.

"Jesus you are the best driver ever!"Max yelled, pushing James off her.

"Learned from the best."Matt grinned from beside her, I sped down the road glancing in my mirror, seeing it was slowing down.

"Your car is way nicer than Billy's."Max spoke from the back, running her fingers over the seats.

"Excuse you?"Billy spun around to look at her.

"It's true."she shrugged, I turned to glance at Billy, when I saw his glare I sent him a grin.

As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, they were ushering El into the back of Nancy's car, I got out informing the four to stay in the car.

"What's going on?"I asked Jonathan, grabbing his arm, when he saw me he wrapped his arms around me. I awkwardly hugged back.

"Head to the mall, we'll explain there."Nancy told me, getting into her car, I nodded running to get into my car.

"Okay so, you four have been ghosting us because Russians took yoh captive under the mall?"I asked Steve, he nodded. I sighed going back to attempting to clean and bandage his wounds.

"Poor baby."Billy sighed, brushing Steve's hair out of his face.

"Steve!"Robin yelled standing by the door with Dustin and Erica.

"Yeah yeah."he got up rushing over to them, the four exiting the building.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?"Hop asked, grabbing my arm.

"Yeah, I'll take care of her okay?"I glanced at El, he nodded pulling me into a hug, patting my head.

"Just come back to me okay, Hop? I can't loose both my dad's in one night."I looked up at him, he nodded down at me, kissing my head.

"You won't. You won't loose either okay? Were gonna save your dad."

I nodded, wiping away a stray tear that fell down my face.

"Hop?"Joyce came over to us, he nodded walking over to the weirdly dressed man.

I didn't say anything, I just looked back at Joyce, as soon as my eyes met hers. Tears streamed down both our faces.

"Make sure you bring him back to me, okay?"I sniffled, she nodded pulling me into a hug.

"And you come back to me too, your the closest thing I have to a mom in this town."

"Your not gonna loose anyone tonight, okay? You know I'm not one to make promises, but I promise? And you know I won't break it."she cupped Mt cheek, wiping away a few tears. I nodded leaning into her touch, but Mt cheek felt cold, she walked towards Hopper and the man, smiling at us all.

I stared in the door they disappeared in, arms wrapping around my waist.

"They'll come back to us, I promise."Billy whispered.

"I hope so."
