I'm not pregnant.

"How long?"

"Three months."

I nodded, looking around the empty, foggy yard, the coffee cup warming up my hands.

"And how long has Jonathan known?"

"A month, two weeks after I found out."

"I can't believe my baby cousin is having a baby."

"I can't believe ten years later after everything that happened, I'm married and pregnant now. But yet I'm still standing in the same damn yard I killed monsters in."she scoffed, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Yeah, crazy,"I paused, sighing, "Nancy I need to tell you something. The only person that knows is Billy. I'm not pregnant. But when I first had Max. He was acting weird, like, El- El weird."

"What do you mean El weird?"

"Like, moving stuff without touching it, or crushing a pop can sitting on the coffee table."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, and when Vecna got in my head, I didn't tell anyone about this. But he did something to me, when I was pregnant with Max, he- he put something inside of me inside of him, I don't know what it is, but he told me it'd be a shame if he were to stand out in the crowd when he's older. And the older he gets the more scared I get, what if my baby turns into a monster just like all those other things? What if he doesn't turn out like El and turns out like vecna? A bad guy that kills people."

"How long has it been since he's, used his powers?"

"After he turned one he never did it again."I looked at her finally.

"Well, maybe, he doesn't have them anymore. Maybe they're gone, and he'll be a normal human."

"That's the thing, when he was using them, we were in Hawkins. And then we went back to California for his first birthday, and have stayed in California since, this is the first time he's been here in Hawkins in six years. And during that first year, we came back three or four times. And every time, they- they activated, and when we went back home they were just gone. And after he turned one and we never came back here, they haven't came back."I explained, panick setting it in, everything just hitting me.

"Well, how long are you here for?"

"Two more weeks."

"We'll see if anything happens in the next two weeks, and if something does it'll prove the, powers, only work in Hawkins. And you don't have to bring him back ever again."

"Yeah, yeah. Ok."

"There she is!"Billy yelled opening the front door, in his arms with a swaddled Mattie, Max ran to me hugging my legs.

"Mommy!"

"I just have to ask, what happened to your hair? I didn't want to say anything but I couldn't help it."Jonathan came out after him, Chester, their dog, right at his feet.

"I ugh, cut it off before Mattie was born."Billy nervously chuckled, standing next to me, trading my coffee and the baby, I rocked her back and forth kissing her face.

"You finally realized the mullet was outdated?"someone said behind us, we all turned around and saw Steve walking up to us, Will Mike and Dustin getting out of the car behind Billy's.

"Yeah I did, when are you?"Billy nodded at his hair tucked behind his ears.

"Oh yeah, real funny man-"

"Boys boys, there's kids. Your kids,"I cut Steve off, looking at Billy, he backed off leaning against the pole.

"Why are you here?"Nancy asked Mike

"Where's El?"I asked

"She stayed home, wasn't feeling so good."Mike shrugged

"You live together?"I grinned, making him smile and nod.

"Im gonna get her inside its pretty cold,"I pushed past Billy going through the door, Billy following me to the room we were staying in.

"What were you and Nancy talking about? Before Johnathan and I came out?"

"Nothing-"

"Darling, I know when your lying to me."he put his finger on the bottom of my chin, lifting my face to look at him.

"Just about Max's powers, the last time we were in Hawkins with him."I hushed my voice, looking around than back up at him.

"But that hasn't happened since-"

"I know, but that's my point it hasn't happened since we've been in Hawkins. And now that we're back in hawkins-"

"You think they'll make another appearance."he nodded, watching me set Mattie down.

"Yeah,"I looked back at him, my hands on my hips.
