"Kids! Dinner!"Tiffany yelled, all three of us racing out of our rooms to the kitchen, pushing each other into walls on the way.

"Dad home yet?"Matt asked, shoving his face with chicken.

"No, he won't be for a couple of days, business trip."she shook her head.

"Again? That's the third one this month."I looked up from my plate.

"I know, this office has been doing good lately. Ever since they got their new employee."

"Who?"James asked

"Neil Hargrove."

Matt and I looked at each other, then a grin broke out on our face. Our dad was the new bad boys dads boss.

"He has a son and daughter from what your father's told me, they both go to your school."she looked between us three, "and by all of your faces I think you met them already."

"Is it his step daughter? Cause she has a different last name."James asked

"Yes sweetie."

"Have you two met his son?"she looked between Matt and I.

"Billy? Oh yeah, real charmer."Matt nodded, his mouth full of food.

"Yeah, he's pretty cool."I nodded

"Good, because I invited them over for dinner tomorrow."

*****

"Wake up dickhead."I threw a notebook at my brother, he looked up at me groaning.

"Five more minutes."

"Matt it's five o'clock, you missed school, and our wonderful guests are gonna be here soon, Tiffany said you have to clean up the living room."

"I did? Wow, and tell her no I'm doing homework."

"Matt."I warned

"Ugh, fine. Get out so I can change."he threw the notebook back at me, I flipped him skipping out of the room going to help Tiffany with dinner, soon enough Matt stomped downstairs in different clothes and wet hair, he walked past the kitchen unto the living room, James and I shared a look before laughing.

"James honey will you set the table, they should he here soon."Tiffany asked

"Yeah mom."

Just as I set down the bowl of mashed potatoes, the door bell rang and an impatient knock sounded, then a quiet voice scolding someone.

"I'll get it."Matt yelled running to the door.

"You must be Matthew, Joe's boy, wow, you look just like your father."a man spoke, soon enough an older man followed by a woman and two kids walked in, I immediately recognized Billy, grinning from my spot on the couch next to James.

"Kids, c'mon dinners starting."Tiffany poked her head in the door looking at James and I.

"Oh c'mon mom, five more minutes. The main character just got shot."James didn't peel his eyes from the TV.

I patted his head getting up from the couch.

"I'm Neil, and this my wife Susan, our son Billy and our daughter Max."I shook the man and woman's hand, looking st Billy.

"Yeah, I might've seen Billy around school once or twice. I'm Beatrice, by the way, and in there is my goofy brother James. And that's Matthew, my other goofy brother."I pointed at my two brothers, the one super intonthe TV, the other checking out his hair in the hall mirror.

"You have a lovely home, Tiffany, is it?"Susan smiled, taking a seat at the table.

"Yes, thank you, James! Get in here now! I'm sorry, he just can't get off that TV, kids these days right?"she smiled scooting her seat in, Neil took a seat next to his wife, I took my usual spot which so happened to be next to Billy.

James groaned stomping into the dining room taking his sear next to my mom, Matt sitting on my other side, the only open seat being my dad's. Max sat on the other side of James.

We have a big table okay, since dad's always inviting his coworkers over.

Then the front door opened, keys ratted and boots stomped towards the room, then my dad stood in the doorway smiling at all of us.

"I'm not interrupting am I?"he took his seat, Tiffany immediately smiling.

"Honey, your home early."

"Oh I couldn't miss dinner with one of my favorite coworkers!"

I nervously looked at Matt, him returning the look.

*****

"Kids, take Max and Billy into the living room, or your rooms I don't care. We need adult time."Dad spoke, making me and my brothers stand up quickly, ushering the two out of the dining room, when we didn't immediately obey him, it was hell for us.

"Hey Max, I have some pretty cool things I think you'll like up in my room, c'mon."James lead the girl upstairs, Billy watching them closely.

"Hey, can you cover for me again?"Matt grinned looking down at me.

"Again? Matt this is the fourth time this week."

"Okay fine, but you just graduated to a month of doing my chores."he shrugged running to his room, I followed close behind him, watching him scramble around his messy room from the doorway, Billy right behind me.

"Who is it tonight?"I crossed my arms.

"Tammy Thompson."

"Miss piggy, have fun when she snorts at you in bed."I laughed, he flipped me off opening his window and hopping out of it, I shut and locked his door looking down the hall, seeing James' door was closed.

I stormed towards it swinging it open, the two jumped looking up at us.

"Three inches you two."I pointed at them

"You don't leave your door open three inches when you have a boy over."James mocked.

"I don't think you want me too."I smirked heading across the hall to my room, Billy right behind me.

"You always bring boys home?"he asked, sitting on my desk chair.

"Maybe, what's it to ya?"

"Just gotta know my competition, that's all."he smirked looking around my decorated room.

"You think you have a chance? Hah, funny."
