"This better be the right base," I bite into the coms, not able to curb the immense exasperation that's been building since I left y/n on our wedding day.

"It is. I looked into it myself. Everything matches."

"It better be," I whisper, not allowing them to hear my desperation.

"Ready when you are, Beth," Sara says.

Since this new Red Room drove y/n into the arms of hydra and effectively took me away from her and any hope I had of keeping her safe, they're here to assist in her rescuing.

And she better be in here. There better be something of her left to rescue. Because if they got to her.. if they were able to-

"Nat, you ready?"

No. "Yes."

"Let's blow this popsicle stand!"

Believe it or not, that's our cue.

I follow right behind a group of widows as they bust through the south entrance of this apparent hydra building.

They said this was the fastest route to where they're sure y/n would be kept. They mapped it out. I'm hoping their right. It's all I can do.

We're making quick work of putting out any hydra puppet that tries to stop us, mowing through them like a missile through air. We're a bunch of trained assassins and they're.. well, they aren't.

However, it isn't yielding us any information on her location.

"We've got something this way, should be the second corridor to your right, 3rd room down."

We swiftly change directions, following the path they instructed where we're met with a a wall of widows standing around. They part ways making a path for me to walk through.

My heart rate picks up, my steps precise and even, breathing normal..

I'm finally going to see her after all of these weeks apart. I can finally hold her again. I can-

It isn't y/n.

"What the hell?! I thought you said you had something?!" I'm more than frustrated. Worry is creeping through every cell in my body. If this is all they found.. where is y/n?

"We did. He knows what happened to her," Sara nudges one of the cuffed men's shoulders with her gun, looking at him with disgust.

I focus on him, tearing him apart with one look, I lean forward, "well? Where is she?"

I see him swallow, buying himself some time.

"W-who?"

I shove my gun under his chin pushing up and cutting off his air way, pulling his head back by his hair, "don't play stupid," though he is, "Where is
y/n?"

His eyes dart over to the right, but I know better than to fall for it. I just tighten my grip on his hair making him wince.

"You- you can't find her. We don't even know where she is!" He exclaims.

I don't buy it. "Tell me what she was doing here," I seethe. "Tell me what you did to her."

"It's no use! You cant-" I kick to the side, easily knocking the second guys teeth in.
