The Story of Benjamin Rogers

Part 1

Benjamin and Tony were like brothers. No one could ever replace Steve's place in Benjamin's life but Tony was there for him, and he was there for Tony. However when the whole kidnapping and Iron Man thing happened, Benjamin was across the world. He decided to take 2 years to himself travelling and exploring the world. As soon as he heard what happened he was immediately by Tony's side.

Right now Benjamin was backstage with Pepper, Tony's assistant, while Tony did a show as Iron Man. He really was made for the spotlight, the crowds were going crazy, cheering and clapping and all he did was land and show his suit. A machine then came and took the suit off him.

Tony: "Oh, its good to be back! You miss me. I miss you too."

Someone in the crowd then shouted for him to blow something up.

Tony: "Blow something up? I already did that."

The crowd then died down, allowing Tony to speak.

Tony: "I'm not saying that the world is enjoying its longest period of uninterrupted peace in years because of me."

The crowd cheered and clapped again. Benjamin looked at him and smiled while shaking his head.

Tony: "I'm not saying that from the ashes of captivity, never had a greater phoenix metaphor been personified in human history."

The crowd cheers and Benjamin turns to Pepper.

Benjamin: "He really uses his kidnapping to his advantage. This is the fifth time I've hear him mention it today."

Pepper: "Never hear the end of it."

They shared a laugh and turned back to the show.

Tony: "I'm not saying that Uncle Sam can kick back in a lawn chair, sipping on an iced tea because I haven't come across anyone who's man enough to go toe-to-toe with me on my best day."

The crowd cheers again, shouting 'I love you' at Tony. He was just revelling in it, enjoying the attention.

Tony: "Please, it's not about me."

Benjamin turned to Pepper again.

Benjamin: "He is aware that he's making every spectacle of world peace about him, right?"

Pepper just shrugged with a smirk knowing that Benjamin is right.

Tony: "It's not about you. It's not even about us. It's about legacy. It's about what we chose to leave behind for future generations. And that's why for theft year, and for the first time since 1974, the best and brightest men and women of nations and corporations the world over will pool their resources, share their collective vision, to leave behind a brighter future. It's not about us. Therefore, what I am saying, if I'm saying anything, is welcome back you he Stark Expo."

The crowd goes mental, once again.

Tony: "And now, making a special guest appearance from the great beyond to tell you what it's all about, please welcome my father, Howard."

Howard then shows up on the screen to talk to the audience. Benjamin smiles nostalgically, watching his late best friend talk. He then noticed Tony go backstage and pull out a device.

Benjamin: "You alright?"

Tony: "Yeah, yeah. Just checking my blood, you know, adrenaline rush."

Benjamin: "Hmm. Quite the show you can put on. Crowd loved you."

Tony: "I'm Tony Stark. Of course they did."

Benjamin narrows his eyes suspiciously at Tony.

Benjamin: "You sure your alright?"
