Chapter 9

Lilium 

It literally went from me wanting to tease Kai some more to him blindfolding himself as I put on his spare uniform. Once I had his skin fitted shirt on, he quietly went about sewing it closer to my body, feeling his way along. His large hands roamed over my body as he stuck his pins in the sides of the shirt to show where he'll have to sew. Scared of getting stabbed by his needles, I eventually took off his blindfold as we stared at each other. 

"Kai, you almost stabbed me." I sighed as his eyes roamed over my body, still in his shirt before he quietly started laughing. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to but wow! You're so small in my shirt." He apologized as I looked down at his shirt that was almost to my knees and fitted me like a giant moomoo. 

"You have a long torso, but honestly I could wear your shirts as dresses or nightgowns." I smiled while holding up my arms to look at the sleeves that were meant to be short sleeved but now looked like long sleeves on me. "Plus, you have muscles and I have fat." I explained while shaking the angel wings on my arms. It was what my mom would call the fat on our arms. 

"Yeah, but you're softer and warmer." He argued back while gently holding my sides as I looked down at him. 

"Fuck, Kai." I mumbled while covering my face for a second before looking back down at him as he stared back at me. "Okay, okay. We have to focus, big guy. You said those storms would be coming soon? If so, we don't have time to be horny teenagers." I laughed as the heat crept up my cheeks while Kai snapped out of whatever trance he was in. He didn't say anything else as he got back to work. He fixed the pants, the shirt, and the hood before looking at the mask. Kai’s mask looked like a mask and a long scarf at the same time. It covered his nose down to his entire collar bone and on me, it just looked ridiculous. It barely sat on my face and it practically covered my boobs. He quickly got to getting the measurements before stitching it up as I went about cleaning and packing up the cavern.

"I'll get the bed mat." He called from outside of the cave as I went about storing water from the pipe into some small canisters Kai gave me. He dropped back down into the cave again and went to pick up the bed mat before stopping. Turning to see why he had become so quiet, I almost dropped the canister in my hand. He was holding the bed mat close to him while staring at me with a heated gaze. "Were you watching me bathe? Your scent is all over the bed mat." He inquired as the heat crept up my neck. 

"I slept on it, silly." I laughed awkwardly while sweating bullets. Should I just tell him the truth? That he turned me on by just bathing? He didn't seem too convinced as he lugged the bed mat out of the cave without saying anything. Fuck, this was going to be an interesting trip to his tribe. I cursed under my breath while finishing up. Once the entire cave was packed up and cleaned, Kai showed me how to remove the pipe and put away the hearth. I was so amazed! "So, what's next?" I asked as he picked me up and slung me over his shoulder. "Fuck! Kai!" I yelped as he jumped out of the cavern and out onto the sand. 

"Sorry, it's easier to have you on my shoulder than in my arms." He nodded as I squinted at him before he turned away from me. "Neau!" He called as I turned to see something running towards us with horns. As soon as I was about to raise my hand, Kai quickly laced our hands together before pulling me close. The Beast skidded to a stop in front of us as we stared at each other. It looked like a medium size dragon that was a beige color, also something similar to the sand. Large horns jutted out of its head like Kai’s but not as curly. Its wings were almost a goldish color as the dragon sniffed me. "Lily, this is Neau. She's my Sran that I've had since I was little. She'll take us back home before the fog comes out." He explained as the dragon licked our laced hands.

We had been traveling for a good while as the suns seemed to set in the distance. I was surprised when Kai picked me up again and put me on her back. Once I was settled, he got on behind me while whipping the reins. I thought the Sran was going to fly us but I was surprised when it dropped down into the sand before we shot off. It was almost like she was swimming really fast through the sand like it was water. We were up high enough on her back to not touch the sand, much to my surprise. I was a good six feet while Kai looked like he was seven. My shock at his height became a shock to him at how short I was. I blew his mind when I told him that my people would consider me tall. 

"We're here." Was the only warning I got as the dragon surfed us towards a large dark hole that wasn't just there. Just as I opened my mouth to question, gold wings sprouted out from Neau as we fell into the darkness. I couldn't see anything as we fell but I could feel one of Kai’s arms wrapped around my stomach as Neau suddenly shot up. "Lily, it's okay now. You can open your eyes." He softly stated in my ear as I hadn't realized my eyes were close before I slowly opened them only to gasp at the sight. Just a little farther ahead was a large city surrounded by what reminded me of the rainforest. Lights lit up the city and some spots led into the rainforest. It almost looked like humans lived here had it not been for the multitude of colorful beings walking the streets and flying alongside us. 

It was an understatement to think that Kai was weird looking. His entire tribe were nothing but different colors. Red, blue, green, pink, violet. All of the colors were here. Some had tails or wings or a combination of both. There were even some with wings! Their colors and their city were beautiful as Neau slowly circled down towards a large crowd that stood at what looked like a square. They were all looking up at us as murmurs filled the crowd when their eyes landed on me. As my anxiety started to grow worse, I felt Kai's arm gently pull me more toward him. This was going to be fun.
