As Maddie and I walked in the store I realised this store was very expensive, how should I pay for all of this? "Let's go to another store, it's super-expensive here." I told Maddie. "I can pay for both of our costumes, trust me." Maddie replied confident. "I knew you were rich, but this rich?" I said chuckling. "You should get to know me more." Maddie said laughing back. "Alright, I'll ask 5 questions, then you will ask me 5, okay?" I asked her. "Okay, go ahead." Maddie replied. "Okay, first question. How old are you?" I said that realsing I've never even asked. Wow, I really don't know anything about Maddie. "16, you?" Maddie asked. "You realise this was your first question?" I asked Maddie. She nodded. "15, almost 16. Now me again. Why isn't your dad at home?" I asked her. "My parents are divorced, now... eh... Last name?" She asked. "Parker. Ever killed someone?" I knew I came rushing in with that question, but I needed to know if I was the only one who did it or not. "Come here." Maddie said as we walked in a fitting room. "Why do you ask me this, do you know anything?" She asked with a serious tone. "What should I know?" I asked less confident than I wanted. "I... I killed my school-principal, because she tried to kill me and Emma!" She said defending herself. "You did something for Emma, I'm suprised." I said laughing, but Maddie didn't join. "Of course I did! I may hate her, but I would be demnestated if she would be dead because of me." She said sadly. "But now, the principal is dead because of you." I said. "It was because she tried to kill us, don't you understand?" She asked me. Actually almost begging me to understand. "Of course I do! I killed someone too, but not because of defending myself, but because of jealousy!" I told her with tears in my eyes. "And everyday I have to feel the guilt of killing that innocent girl!" I continued, now crying. "She was a kanay, and I took her powers away." I told Maddie looking down. Maddie looked shocked, so shocked her mouth was wide open. "Why did you kill that girl? Why were you jealous?" She asked me, sounding mad. "She kissed my boyfriend. Sorry, ex-boyfriend." I told her. "I was furious, and that girl was a kanay, and I was almost at my strongest point, so, I took all of her markings away and she died. At first, I was happy. I was freaking happy! I think because I finally reached my strongest point, but after a day or two, I started feeling guilt and regret, that girl didn't deserve to die, she deserved to life a happy life, she deserved to get a husband and have little kanay-kids. I feel like I broke the chain, there are almost no kanays left because of me. I am the one who took all of their markings away, until I was at my strongest." I stopped because I needed to breath. "But now, there are only three kanays left. Diego, Mia and me. And even though I would do anything to kill Mia, I can't. I can't kill anymore kanays,or there will be none left. Except for Diego and me." I ended, and Maddie sat down while listening to me. "How many kanays have you killed in general?" She asked with curiosity in her voice. "More than a hundred, some for my strength. Some for revenge." I replied sadly, my voice full of regret and guilt. Maddie gasped. "But that's in the past now, isn't it?" Maddie asked, her hands on my legs. "If I need to save you guys, I will kill anyone who comes in my way."
