Part twenty

- Maddie's POV -
A tear escaped the corner of my eye. How could he do this? After a few seconds of watching (and a pinch, I needed to know if this was real) I spoke up.

"Diego." I said weakly. They both looked up, Diego with a confused-regretting look and Brienne with an evil one. I knew this was her doing. "What did she do to you?" I asked confident.

Silence.

"What did she do to you?" I asked louder.

"I-I don't know. What did you do to me? One minute I was asking myself what you did to Maddie, the second I am kissing you." Diego said confused.

"She must've compelled you to kiss her. She compelled me to not forgive you, and somehow I forgot she did." I said. Diego came to stood by my side.

"I forgive you, Diego. I should've done it way sooner, but I couldn't. But I forgive you now." I said. Then Diego leaned in, and our lips connected. The kiss we shared was passionate, and loving.

"Aw how romantic!" Brienne said sarcastically while she clapped her hands. "Let's get down to business though." She then said serious. She grabbed my shoulders and then she compelled me. "You will kill Kira, understood?" She said. I nodded and then she walked away. I fell to the ground for some reason and Diego held me.

"What did you do to her?" He asked furious. Then the orange tattoos on his arms appeared and he threw a fireball at her.

"What are you doing?" She asked. "I could never do that as a kanay! Why can you?" She asked him. I couldn't hear the rest of the fight, as I felt unconcious. I panicked, but I couldn't move or say anything. I saw nothing, only a black screen in front of me. Suddenly, there was Kira. Not in real life, I knew that, but in a dream. She was dressed in a long blue dress and she kept saying: "refuse her, refuse her" and then someone in a red dress appeared, I couldn't really figure out who. Then she stepped closer, while saying: "believe me, believe me" and then she took of her hoodie. It was Brienne. Then the black screen suddenly showed a video, and I watched intrested.

"STOP! BRIENNE STOP!" Kira screamed while using all her kanay and witch powers.

"I will never stop Kira! You and your friends will go down!" She said. The person who was called Brienne here, didn't at all look like Brienne. She looked like the most powerful being on earth. She used all of her powers, and she was unstoppable. Then I walked in.  With a knife. I've never seen myself like it.

"Yes Maddie! Kill the bitch called Kira!" Brienne screamed evil and desperate. Something was up with her, I knew. She looked depressed. She looked obsessed with killing Kira, like it was all she wanted to do.

"No Brienne! I'm gonna kill you!" I said loud and confident. I walked to her, with the knife in my right hand, and I bumped it in her chest. She screamed while she bleeded not red, but orange blood. She fell down into the ground, and all that was left of her was her clothing, that was now stained orange. I turned around, and saw everybody staring at me. Then everyone came up to me, and hugged me. Diego kissed me, and held me like it was my last night on earth. Then I fell down, and the screen went black, once again. After a lot of time of thinking what happened, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to look who was behind me, and I saw someone I've never met before. She wore a dark-green gown and she had a crown in her hair. Not just a crown, but the biggest crown I had ever seen. The stones inside were the same color as her gown.

"Do you know who to believe now?" She asked me.

"I'm sorry?" I asked confused. "I have no idea what you're talking about!"

"Do you know if you should refuse or believe?" She asked. I thought back, and I remembered. Believing is following Brienne and refusing is following Kira. I already knew what I had to choose.
