Part twenty-three

I pick Kira up, and hope to save the rest too. They almost took Kir, but I managed to save her before that. Now she's in my bed, sleeping. I have to save the rest, they may be in trouble. I transport there, and see everyone on their seats.

"Jax, where were you!" Andi asks. I ignore her. The date was awful, we played Zombie Apocalypse 3, and she suddenly started talking about her boyfriend Philip. We didn't break up yet, but I'm planning on doing so, she's not as fun as I thought.

"Bro, where were you? Those guys left when Kira left." Diego says while he's holding Maddie, who's basically getting crazy. She doing all kinds of things with her hand, and suddenly there's water on me.

"Yes! I did it!" She cheers and I look confused at her. "I mean... I did my homework today for chemistry!"

"We didn't have homework for chemistry, right?" I ask her worried.

"How would I know?" She asks. Okay... There's something up with her, for sure. I look at Diego, and he looks confused at me too.

"Well, where were you?" He asks.

"I brought Kir to my house, she's now sleeping." I say. Diego puts his hand on my shoulder.

"You're a good friend." He says. I smile by his compliment. "But I can't help but feel like those guys came for Kira, you better check on her."

"That's true. I'm going right now."

"Can we come with you?" Andi asks. She points to us all. I nod my head and we all transport to my home. When we come home there's a bright light, coming from Kir's body. When the lightning stops, we see her kanay markings.

"Wow." Is all that Maddie can say when she sees Kir's markings. They're all over her body, except her face. She has her pajamas on (by my spell) so I remove the sheets to look at her legs. They're full too. I touch them, and they light up once again.

"How did you do that?" Andi asks. She is touching her leg too but nothing happens.

"I have no idea." I say honest. "I just, touched them."

"So you touch them and she lights up?" Maddie asks. "Okay she's been lying to me."

"Lying? About what? Kir would never lie." I say. Kir would never lie, to anyone.

"She said she's not in love with you." Maddie says. "Obviously she is."

What? No!

"Yes, she is!" Maddie says. Wait, how did she know what I thought? I give her a confused look and apparently she notices because she moves awkard. She's hiding something.

"Then she must be in love with me too." Diego laughs. He touched her leg and she lights up too. Maddie does the same thing and she again, lights up.

"Okay then I have no idea why she lights up." She says.

"So it lights up with you but not with me?" Andi asks sad.

"Yes, Andi, she must care more about us then she cares about you." I say mean. It maybe was a little harsh, but she deserves it. Who talks about her ex-boyfriend on a date with your current one?

"I think you guys have to go, she is tired." I say. They all nod, except for Andi.

"What are you gonna do?" She asks when I do a spell that leaves me in my pajamas.

"I'm gonna sleep, what does it look like?" I say mean. She looks hurt but she still stays. Ugh, why can't she just go away?

"A-are you in love with her?" That was the last question I expected.
