(Shimoda's POV)

I watched as I sat upon the raining rooftops of New York, my stolen police radio right beside me. The could pouring rain and the dull cloudy night sky brought a sense of sorrow and mystery into the atmosphere. I inhaled as car horns blared and advertisements flashed like some sort of trip. I then reached into my pocket and grabbed a medallion. I looked at it as the lights flickered and brightened the medal. The Symbol of Overwatch shuns brightly as the rain pours on my back. I could barely remember what it was like back then. Tracer's cheery laugh echoed in my head and the chatter of Overwatch agents rang quietly in my conscious.

"We did everything for them, and they spat in our faces," I murmured as the rain poured on.

Suddenly, my police radio turned on, and loud chattering began to commence. I quickly grabbed it and connected it to my bio-helmet.

"ALL UNITS! ALL UNITS! WE GOT A 10-65 on 24th Street! Repeat! 10-65 on 24th Street near the local Superstore. Request back-up needed!" A male police officer shouted vigorously into the scanner.

"24th street huh? Lucky me, I'm right next to it," I sighed as I got up and stretched. I then attached the scanner to my waist as I jumped to another roof, running as police sirens were growing louder in the distance.

I crept behind All 'N Store, basically the Buy 'N Large of America. It was bigger than a warehouse and had just about anything you needed. As I came from the garbage ally, my camouflage armor active, I saw about 10 police cars lined up in front of the store. Police officers had already called in a SWAT Team to break open the barricaded doors. As they used a hydraulic Ram Hammer to push open the bulletproof doors, I jumped onto the roof and tear open a vent just as Swat Forces were climbing up to do the same thing.

I made my way down the vents and over a toys section, where parents and children were being held captive as several criminals (Around 10-20 in total) argued on whether to escape or if they should fight back. I counted 7 women (holding modified AK-47s or Mini-guns), 10 men (holding cyber-bladed assault riffles, flamethrowers, pistols, and Uzis), and 3 enlarged Omnics.

"The police will be here any moment James! We gotta get out now!" one of the criminals said, his head throbbing with frustration.

"You shut your gob Quagmire! They won't attack if they know we got hostages," another replied.

I decided to make my move. I sent a mini-drone to the back of the store to turn off the power. After that, I crawled to another opening in the vent that ended in front of the mob of criminals.

"Alright, Jessica. Take one of these kids and tell the police that if they let us go we give them the hostages," James said.

I then fell from the vent and landed in front of them, deactivating my camouflage. The criminals looked at me and raised their guns immediately.

"Hey! Who are you?! What's your business?" James asked.

I slowly got up and stared them down intensely.

"OI! Speak will ya!?" James said, beginning to tremble as I stood there.

Just then, the lights shut off, leaving the entire store in darkness. I saw everyone with my heat vision, and I clenched my fist tightly.
