A/N: There is a running format with two chapters of our characters hanging out at the base before another episode or two of a branch dealing with missions. Will you be good with that? Let me know if I should make any changes to the format that's running right now. Alright, now, onto the chapter!
Benjamin's POV:
After Hanzo's inclusion, the team was back on its feet and moving swifter than ever. Widowmaker's serum began to take hold, but her memories were dull and needed work. Angela would run therapy sessions with her and slowly uncover mysteries regarding Talon. Surprisingly enough, Talon's intervention has been almost minimal, with an occasional hack from their headquarters. Null Sector has remained quiet since they attacked Paris, except for minor uprisings in countries like Portugal and Poland, which Overwatch handled with little effort. Praise for Overwatch gradually began to rise after Volskaya and Paris, with top leaders of the world, including Russia's President and Katya herself, giving speeches on how Overwatch's return could restore peace to the burning world. It wasn't all cupcakes and rainbows, however.
Countries like England and Germany would speak out against Overwatch, saying their lands and people are not ready for their inclusion, saying they would disrupt the area of politics and human peace. Overwatch was proud of its return, whatever our status was in politics and activism. Genji eventually returned after a week of absence with his master, Zenyatta, the monk. Zenyatta came into Overwatch with open arms, happy for a new arrival. As we did with Hanzo, Sojourn had Zenyatta's initiation and put him against me for his battle skills. I will honorably admit I was clapped in our battle, quite literally. I was going to use my primal instinct to jump on him and go for a clean blow, but he summoned mystic arms and clapped my face, knocking me out. Zenyatta became good friends with my father and Angela, happy to meet one of his kind and a healer like himself. Hanzo wasn't too keen on Zenyatta's arrival, suspicious of Omnic's aliases and whether or not Overwatch could trust him. He eventually concluded that if he were a true friend of Genji, he would accept him as well. I would then go under Zenyatta's wing, where he taught me the ways of the Shambali as well as their martial art style of Shaolin Kung Fu. Zenyatta understood my Christian viewpoint on religion, so he would lower his teachings regarding his religion of Buddhism unless they dealt with peace and tranquility. His instructions were very enlightening, and they helped me heal emotionally concerning my trauma. Like all the other help I've gotten from friends and family, my concussion concerning Katlyn's murder.
On the 1st of August, I was training with Zenyatta at a newly built dojo. We made it a few days after Zenyatt's initiation using Vishkar technology.
(Basically, they use guns similar to the ones in Subnautica to use materials locked in a container and build a laid-out project using light bending. Ask Symmetra if she knows how that works)
