4: envious
"Yo, Hori, I haven't seen you since you resigned."
Niyuki -- Shihori's ex-colleague -- poked the pancake with a fork, resting his cheek on the palm of his hand. Sitting across him was none other than Yua Shihori who was murdering the poor omelette as he took bite after bite and chewed in an aggressive manner.
Yet Shihori still looked elegant.
If it was anyone else, people might have pointed fingers and called them uncivilized.
"I've been busy with something," Shihori said once he finished drinking a glass of lukewarm water. "Remember that childhood friend I've told you before?"
"Yeah, what about him?"
"That poor excuse of a human crap pulled me in to work as an assistant teacher at their college."
"... woah there," Niyuki straightened in his seat, eager to hear this gossip from his friend. "Did you say assistant teacher? You? You didn't scare those poor students, did you?"
Shihori glared at him, making Niyuki scratch his nose. "Hey, your good temper is just for little kids."
"They're first year high school students; they're kids. Only adults know what a filthy mouth I have."
"Tsk," Niyuki clicked his tongue. "You're no fun. It would have been funny if those kids' image of your angelic face shattered the moment you opened your mouth." As if realizing something, he grabbed Shihori's forearm and began shaking it. "Hey, you gotta take a picture when that happens! I'll frame it up for you!"
"What kind of weird shit are you on again? Who frames that kind of picture?"
"Duh, me, your beloved friend."
"... ew."
.
.
"... you sent me away just because I might interfere with their training? Satoru, babe, I'm going to shove a rectal speculum down your throat without cleaning it after using it on a patient."
"... what's that?"
"It's something shoved up in the ass. I'm going to make you eat shit."
"Woah, hey there, chill, dear Shihori. I was kidding. I just needed to see if Okkotsu Yuuta would be able to manage on his own or, well, in this case, if he could deal with Orimoto Rika. If you're here, Rika would behave."
"That better be the reason, you man-hoe."
A shudder ran down Satoru's spine as the nurse ended the call. Although they were childhood friends, he still couldn't help but shiver every time Shihori threatens him. Just imagining that delicate face saying such nasty words made Satoru want to vomit.
The contrast was just too much for him to handle.
"Was, Was that Shihori-san?"
Satoru paused in his steps as if remembering that he wasn't the only one waiting outside the hospital room where Maki was admitted in. He had made a quick call to inform Shihori what happened in their training in the stairwell where no one would be able to eavesdrop on them.
Satoru tilted his chin and glanced at Yuuta. The teen looked at him with an expecting look. He found this a little familiar.
Yua Shihori wasn't a kind a person. In fact, he likes playing around with people's perception of him. Take his current image for example. A nurse with a delicate expression matched with a loving personality. Although he did hide his filthy mouth, everyone believed that Shihori truly loved his job.
