15: a gojo's proposal
Alt. Title: a swindler for a nephew

"What do we have here; Hori, you have the guts to show up."

Shihori: "..." How can this idiot get any more idiotic?

Standing at the entrance of the Zenin Clan was none other Zenin Naoya, who was sent out to pick him up. Zenin Naoya and Yua Shihori had always been at loggerheads. It was because Shihori, a descendant of a branch family, overshadowed Naoya, a direct descendant of the main family.

He, who was vain, loathed Shihori's existence.

Meanwhile, Zenin Naoya's existence simply grated on Shihori's nerves. This distant cousin of his kept picking on him every time Shihori visited the main branch for training in the past. Even if Shihori ignored the other, Naoya pestered him like a fucking mosquito.

"Are you sick in the head? It was you bastards who kept bothering Mai. Now that I'm here, you're implying I have a thick face for showing up?" For a moment, Shihori was tempted to grab a syringe from his bag and stab this annoying bitch to death.

Awkward silence filled the air the moment Shihori finished speaking. Embarrassed, Naoya faked a cough. "Whatever. Everyone is already in the hall waiting for you." Shihori rolled his eyes in response as he followed behind his bitchy cousin. Walking through the familiar halls, several pairs of eyes stared at him.

They were all wary.

To the Zenin Clan, Yua Shihori was a ticking time bomb.

Unlike Zenin Toji, they valued Yua Shihori more than anyone else. After all, no other sorcerer could match Gojo Satoru other than him. His talent was the strongest and his innate cursed technique frightened them much more, especially when night came around.

They never knew when Yua Shihori would attack, after all.

Soon, they reached the main hall.

The second he stepped into the room, a snort escaped Shihori. Sitting in a row across each other were the elders, his uncles, and male cousins. An empty seat remained at the other end of the table, right across the family head.

Sure enough, they were still treating him on a pedestal despite the fact that he renounced himself from the clan. Without a word, Shihori took his seat. A moment of silence brewed in the room and it was only broken when he opened his mouth to speak.

"So, I've heard you've been pestering Mai."

And the ambience became heavy in an instant.

This time, Shihori laughed under his breath. This laughter sent chills down their spine. "Haven't I said it before? All you need to do is give those two their freedom. Yet what have I heard? Maki left the clan and Mai's being abused here? Do you treat my words as a fucking joke?" Ridicule flashed in his eyes as a finger tapped on the table.

Each rhythmic tap increased the pressure on their shoulders, to the point that some of them began to sweat. "I've said it before and I'll say it again; give the twins their freedom. Don't control what they do, don't criticize them, and don't even think about threatening them behind my back. One way or another, I'll find out."

A dark light flashed through his eyes. "I'll flip this fucking clan upside down if I get wind of your mistreatment towards them."

The Zenin Clan Head coughed. Even if those words of Shihori's angered him to death, he had nothing to say lest Shihori ended up following through his words. They had offended this prodigy many years ago and they could no longer do the same thing again. Who would protect the Zenin Clan from Yua Shihori's clutches if that time came?
