27: okkotsu and yua
Alt. Title: where young hori finds yuuta cute and yua shihori wonders how important the youth was to himWhen Gojo Satoru came back from grocery shopping, the sight of Shihori in a daze looking at Yuuta, who was making pancakes at dusk, greeted him. With eyebrows furrowed, it only took Satoru a single second to realize what was going on.
A teasing smirk curled on his lips as he tiptoed towards Shihori, leaving the bag of groceries by the kitchen entrance. He leaned down Shihori's ear and whispered, "Isn't he cute?"
"Yeah," was his dreamy reply.
The sorcerer stifled his laughter. Shihori didn't even react to his presence. Instead, he hummed to himself while watching Yuuta move around in the kitchen. Not wanting to burst his bubbles, Satoru sat on the couch, just beside Shihori, and watched this friend from his periphery.
Who would have thought?
The fourteen-year-old Shihori was a sucker for cuties.
He had seen Satoru's face for so long and in his eyes, Satoru was ugly.
"Hey, Satoru," color him surprised, Satoru didn't think that Shihori was actually aware of his presence. How come he wasn't cussed until he turned deaf earlier for teasing him? "How come I went after a child? I'm not that scummy, am I?"
Satoru snorted, spreading his legs apart and making himself comfortable. "Yeah, you're not that scummy. Just gullible as fuck. You know you're easily scammed, right? Yuuta just took advantage of your personality and managed to make you scummier than usual."
Shihori made an ugly face. "I'm fooled that easily?"
"Yeah, but you don't look sad around him so I just let it be. If you're happy, then your gorgeous childhood friend will definitely support you!"
"Ha, gorgeous my ass you are. You're so ugly that anything with reflective surface cracks at the sight of you."
Satoru the ugly: "..." Ouch?
Silence came after and Shihori pursed his lips. Taking his gaze away from the youth in the kitchen, he finally sat properly on the couch and faced his friend. "I'll age up tomorrow, right? I... I don't want to stay this way. It, the pain, it's too fresh. I know you said that I have to endure just one night but, but Satoru, it hurts."
The young Shihori's voice trembled. "It hurts so much I want to-"
"Shush," a throw pillow was shoved right into Shihori's face, courtesy by Satoru, "Aren't we here to keep you company? Why don't we stay here in the living room together and stargaze by the windows? To take your mind off it."
When a smile curled on his lips, the tension in Shihori's shoulders dissipated. They loosened and slumped forward, arms embracing the throw pillow. "Yeah, let's all sleep together. I have to see Yuuta's cute face before I sleep or else, I'd regret it."
What a simp, Satoru snickered.

Fourteen-year-old Zenin Shihori stared into space. Not a hint of light in his eyes. They were dead to the world, as if there was nothing left to keep him alive. But his heart still beats.
His body was still warm.
So, why was that?
He was so sure he was about to meet his mother in hell so who brought him back from the brink of death?
"Hori," a sixteen-year-old Gojo Satoru cried in alarm outside the hall. Soon, he reached the courtyard people barely passed by. He saw a certain someone sitting on the engawa, staring into the night sky.
