Y/n POV:
Sleeping didn't last long, I woke up at 4 am, and just sat in bed until Lizzie came to get me around 9 am. The surprised look on her face makes me think, she thought I was asleep still. I enjoyed a peacefully quiet breakfast that Lizzie prepared.
It contained pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, and waffles. Her excuse for making so much, she wanted me to try everything. Not long after breakfast around 11 am Scar entered the apartment with a baby on her hip, with a smile on her face.
What confused me is why she was here. Upon arriving she sat at the table, Lizzie pulled a high chair from somewhere, and they started chatting anyway and I felt out of place. I started thinking maybe I shouldn't be in the room anymore, they seem so engrossed in conversation they probably wouldn't notice if I left the table.
OS instead of risking being in the room where I'm not supposed to be, I got up from the table and left to go back to the room I slept in last night. Now that I was paying more attention to the room I say an entire wall was filled with different books.
Taking a look at the shelves, I noticed there are all different kinds of books, I pulled out a copy of "The Darkest Minds".
Something that's not often found for me is the time to sit and read books. I sat down and just start to read loving the feeling of getting away from the real world and my own mind was the perfect distraction.
I don't know how much time passed before Lizzie entered the room looking around frantically until she spotted me sitting on the window bench, reading away. "You sweetheart are going to be the death of me, I didn't notice you disappeared until 5 minutes ago." I nodded and looked back to my book continuing to read.
"Is everything okay you seem a bit quiet today?"
Creasing the page before closing the book and looking over at Lizzie. "You seemed like you wanted to talk to Scar so I let you. I didn't want to interrupt, so I came back here and found a book to read so I wouldn't interrupt." She sat down on the bed with her legs crossed.
"You know just because the adults were talking doesn't mean you need to leave the room, we were discussing which stores we would end up going to today. Unless of course, that isn't something you don't want to do anymore."
"No it's okay I still want to go, I just have a question I want to ask you if that's okay?"
"How did you get the temporary foster license, in the time that I've been in the system, no one including Tammy has ever been able to get one?"
"Okay, this conversation was going happen whether I wanted it or not." She paused taking a deep breath before continuing. "I figured you don't watch much TV considering you haven't freaked out but have you ever heard of the MCU or Marvel?"
"A little bit James, watched a couple of the movies, and talked about them, why?"
"What if I told you that I'm currently acting in one of the movies?"
"You're what?"
"An actress, I play one of the characters in the movies."
"So you're famous?"
"Yes I am, have you ever heard of the Olsen twins?" I shook my head hoping she would continue. "Well, the Olsen twins were child actors, that turned into fashion designers. They are my sisters. Do you recognize Scar from anywhere?"
"Not that I know of."
"She's played a lot of different movies including Marvel, that's where we meet actually."
"Ohh" is that all that came out of my mouth. "Is that how you afford this place?"
"Yes, so anyway back to the original question Scar and I pulled a few strings, and twisted a few arms for me to get the okay for a temporary homer parents' license." She was a little blunt and I don't think meant to be but all I ever want is a straight answer.
"Can I ask one more thing of you, before we leave?"
"Go ahead, sweetheart."
"If I ask a question, give a straight answer please, I would rather have you hurt me with the truth than comforted with a lie."
She looked stunned and thought for a second before answering. "I can try my best. Even though sometimes keeping certain things is better for you. If you ask I will give you the best honest answer, I can."
"That's all I ask for. Thank you." I stood up from the window seat and stood in front of her before giving her a hug. It was short and sweet, not my favorite thing in the world it's the best I can do at the moment.
"Why don't we go see if Scar is ready to leave, I never introduced you to Rose, she's about to turn 1, she can't hold a conversation, but she is the cutest little baby." I followed her lead out of the bedroom to see Scar waiting by the elevator.
"Is everything all right?" Scar asked while swaying Rose.
"Everything is perfect, let me get my stuff and we will be on our way." Lizzie left the room and wasn't gone long before returning with her purse sunglasses and hats. "Do you want to wear a hat or sunglasses?"
"Sunglasses please," I answered. She held out 2 pairs giving me a choice. I picked the simpler pair of 2, black-rimmed square glasses. They seemed to fit on my head perfectly.
We rode the elevator to the bottom floor, and from there we got into a black SUV, then we were on the road for about 20 minutes before it stopped and Scar spoke, "I really wish these people would stop following us around."
"I think you mean the people that visit around and waist for us to arrive like we are at a red carpet event." Lizzie laughed and Scar joined in. I was confused at what they were talking about until Lizzie's door opened, she got out on faced me, "Take my hand follow me, and stay close. I don't want you getting hurt."
I grabbed her hand as we started walking. People shouted from all different directions, with flashing lights everywhere.
Who's the girl?
When can we expect the Marvel movie to come out?
What's the real reason you and Boyd broke the engagement?
How old is the girl?
Where did you come from?
Have you been hiding her from us?
Some of the questions were simple to answer, but Lizzie never spoke she just keep walking, keeping a tight hold on my arm. Honestly, I wasn't liking how close the people were getting. Lizzie started to have to drag me to the doors of the place, I was losing hold of the world in front of me. I focused the best I could.
I think Lizzie noticed because she grabbed me by the arms, and I was in her arms for the rest of the way in. I looked around frantically trying to find the best out of this, but the blurriness of my vision got the best of me I couldn't see anything.
So I held onto Lizzie as tight as I could hoping there was a way out of the madness.

[Due to the long weekend in the U.S I'm writing an extra chapter this weekend, happy reading. I'm thinking about adding an extra chapter at the beginning for a bit more of a back story, like a preface on both Y/n and Lizzie's side of the story before they met what do you think? As always have a great day or night whenever you are reading this]
