Meeting him

Laura's pov:
I flutter my eyes open and sit up. I turn my head to see my best friend Jack on the other couch about to fall off. I chuckle quietly and get up. I turn off the tv that was left on because jack was too lazy to turn it off before falling asleep. He does that a lot but I don't mind. I walk to the kitchen to make breakfast I decided to make pancakes cause I love pancakes. I start making the pancakes and start playing music not too loud though so I don't wake up jack. "THUD"
I jumped and quickly turned around to see.. Jack on the floor. He gets up and groans in pain. I can't help but laugh I tried not to. I really did, but I just couldn't hold it in. I burst out laughing as he starts getting up.

"your really mean, you know that?" he says. I slowly stop laughing. "You remind me everyday buddy" I answer, patting his head. "I hate you" he  mutters. "love you too" I laugh. He glares at me as I go back to making the pancakes. I finish making the pancakes I then get chocolate sauce and put a smiley face on the top pancake and hand it to jack. He smiles as I knew he would cause he loves it when I put chocolate smiley faces on his pancake. I could tell he stopped being mad at me anymore. "thank you" he says. "no problem" i smile back at him. He looked so excited to eat it, he was about to cut a piece and take a bite but then he stopped?

"What's the matter" I asked. He looks up and says. "I don't want to ruin it" he whispers loud enough for me to hear it though. I start laughing. "I know that's not the only reason you won't take a piece" I say. He looks up again "I don't want to kill and then eat the pancake man" he says shyly. I remind him it's just a pancake and he finally eats it. I also sit down and eat some pancakes. After eating we get ready cause we were gonna head to the park to play some badminton.

I changed into a light blue big t-shirt not too big though and black jeans. I quickly grab my racket and we leave for the park. Me and jack have been playing badminton for not too long now and I'm already winning. Jack keeps whining about it saying I cheated but he's just a sore loser. we then decided to take a break and we lay on the grass. "How are you not sweating, it's summer so of course it's burning outside and we just played badminton!" Jack says shocked. I shrugged. I was getting kind of thirsty and I had forgotten to bring my water bottle, luckily there was these bathrooms at the park with water fountains I told jack I would be right back. I walk across the park and I see this guy he's tall, around my age, he has messy brown hair and he's with a little girl. They start walking to where I was heading and the little girl goes to the bathroom.

I make it to the water fountain and then I decided I might as well go to the bathroom too while I'm here. I see the guy stare at me but I shake it off and walk past him into the bathroom. I do what I have to do and I get out of the stall and I then see the little girl struggling to get the soap cause she isn't tall enough. "Do you need some help" I ask the girl. she turns to me and smiles "yes please I can't reach the soap" she says. I grab her and lift her a little and she grabs some soap. She washes her hands and I wash mine. "your very pretty" I hear her say. I face the girl and smile "thank you, your very pretty too" I respond. She laughed a little. "What's your name?" She questions. I tell her "Laura, and you?" I ask. "I'm Mary" she answers. "What a pretty name" I say. She then grabs my arm and drags me outside saying "would you like to meet my brother?" "Uh sure" I answer. She then stops and introduces me. "This is my new friend Laura!" The guy then looks at me and smiles "Hello Laura" he says. What a gorgeous smile. "Hi and your name is?" "My name is.."

HAHA YOUR GONNA HAVE TO WAIT TILL NEXT CHAPTER! This took me very long and my hands hurt but yeah guess your gonna have to wait 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ thanks for reading this book though <3
