Somewhere in the city. . .
The theater room was deathly quiet; the drop of a coin could echo throughout the vast room. The screen lit the room with the image of a young teenager staring through the computer screen.
The scientists were baffled, struggling to keep their jaws attached to their mouths. "This. . .this changes everything." A dingo said to himself, staring back at the image of a human.
Everyone was too entranced, and questions raced through their mind. How is he alive? How is this possible? What is he doing here?
The guard beside the door broke out of his trance and finally took notice of the commander knocking on the door.
"Sorry, sir!" The commander glanced at him and huffed a smoke, then looked up at the projected image. "So it's true. . ." He said, the scientists turned their attention towards the commander. The room grew cold upon noticing his arrival.
"Sir." The dingo saluted, and the rest followed. "The discovery of this human could give us more insight into humanity's lost history! Not to mention, we've also gotten a hold of more footage of what we believe was the same individual." The dingo picked up a remote and clicked a couple of buttons.
The projector switched to a camera footage of a street at nighttime. A couple of teens were walking when a group of thugs surrounded them.
The elderly wolf leaned forward in anticipation and lit another cigarette.
The dingo switched the video again. Now, a different view of a fully blacked-out figure followed behind, taking notice of what was going on in front of him, and quickly hid behind an alleyway.
The video followed the figure in between the alleyways. He stopped to pick by a couple of pots. The pots looked large, and he carried them as if they barely weighed anything. Becoming impatient, the commander grunted. "What are you trying to show me other than the human? I have somewhere to be."
"Hold on, sir, watch this." Within less than a minute, the figure was able to launch several large pots at once, then throw chairs and take down a majority of the thugs almost instantaneously.
The figure handled it crudely, although it did the job. The figure faced away from the camera, but the expression of the teens told them what they needed to know about this individual.
"He also single-handedly carried them to the nearest clinic without breaking a sweat, it seems." The commander began to catch on to what he was trying to point out.
"Sir, he can move at the speed of a cheetah and possess the strength of a grizzly bear are-" "Super Soldiers." The commander interrupted. "Hmmm. How could you be sure of this?"
"One of my colleagues was able to sneak into the crime scene and acquire samples of the blood of the human. And it is confirmed to belong to him as his blood doesn't match anyone's profile worldwide. He is unregistered to our society."
"Well then, his blood must contain the serum, yes?"
"Yes, sir. A small dose of the serum is also found within the blood sample, although it isn't potent enough to make anything out of it, rendering the sample useless." The dingo said.
The commander stood up, tossing the cigarette in a nearby ashtray. "Do we know where this human is right now?"
The dingo whimpered, hesitating to answer. "W-well, uhh, you see, our team is currently working hard to do just that!" The dingo attempted to sound confident.
It didn't work, receiving a low growl from the commander.
The rest of the scientists faced away in silence. "By 24 hours, I am expecting you to find him. Once you do, send out a unit after him immediately. This must remain confidential!" He began to walk to the door.
