"You turned me into a murderer. . ." Vincent said to Sinclair.
She coughed blood and let out a wheeze. "Ha! You think that-" She coughs up more blood. "You really thought they were dead?!" She continues to laugh as the pain began to succumb her. The nanobots would desperately patch up the cracks in her skull and seize the bleeding, but every time it would, Vincent would smash his shield down her face.
"Why. . ." Vincent smashed the shield on her face once more. Her muzzle broke apart, splitting in two. The nanobots weren't as quick to heal as before. In a broken speech she began to mutter in a foreign language. "WHY?!" Vincent held up his shield, ready for the final blow.
"They knew too much. . .and the world is not yet ready." Vincent couldn't understand her. "What are you saying?!" He demanded. Before she could speak any further, her body began to convulse underneath him. She reached up for Vincent's face. "You're. . .beautiful" her hand grazes against his cheek before falling limp.
"Yet, forgetful. . .you won't make it out of here, Vincent, the human." He lowered his shield when she drowns in her own blood. The nanotechnology that was keeping her alive while Vincent was smashing her face in had stopped working and remained frozen in place.
Vincent checked for a pulse.
"She's dead, Vincent. It is time to go." A voice spoke and he replied. "Fine. . .show me the way out of here, Anna. But what did she mean by that last part?" Anna wasn't sure either. Then Anna announced a flying object coming towards his left.
"SHIT!" Vincent was lucky enough to block the oncoming chair before Shera leaped at him. "SHERA NO!"

"Be sure to be back in an hour Shera! Otherwise, I won't show ya' the fishing spot I found on the way!" My dad said and I laughed. "I'll be back before you know it!" He shakes his head and continues to load our furniture in the pickup.
I want to say goodbye to my friends before we leave for our new house. Dad struck a deal with a real estate agent and was offered a massive property somewhere in the rural area. The company wanted him closer to their location, so he won't have to travel during early hours to get to work.
It was a good deal when I heard about it. Mom says that he should've just found a closer job, so we could stay in the house that has been passed down from generations before. But then dad started saying stuff about economy and property value which I didn't understand.
I don't think he realizes that they teach different things in middle school now compared to when he was 11 years old.
But if mom were here, I think she would've used her charm on him and manage to convince him somehow.
I jog through the forest, jumping over fallen trees, rolling down the small hill, and skipping over puddles before making it towards the lake. . .for one last time.
"RAH!" I jump and fall on my back. Two of my friends were laughing at me. "Hey, not funny! You know I get scared easily!" They helped me up. "That's the exactly why!" One of them said. "Are you really leaving though? Have you tried convincing your dad to stay?"
I sigh and sat back down by the edge of the lake. Truth be told I don't want to leave either. This town and my home are really the only places I know, and I admit that I'm scared of trying to settle down in a new place.
They sat beside me and all three of us watch as the sun in the distant horizon sets and begins to hide itself behind the mountains in the distance. I heard a sigh to my left. "Tag!" She dashes off and runs towards the forest. I look to my right, I stare at her and she stares back. "Tag!" I said before scrambling up as I hear her complain behind me.
