After carefully reading the instructions, I finally turned on the shiny new phone that Sol had bought for me and successfully transferred the data within my old phone. . .or whatever was left from my phone when Frank was deconstructing it.

Thankfully, he had enough time to extract and secure the data. Otherwise, I'd be missing my songs and the things I had saved on my phone.

"Well, what ya think, kid?" Sol asked me as he began explaining the specs of this new phone and the features that come along with it. According to what he said, it still isn't as advanced as my phone, but it was sufficient and had lots of storage. I'm thankful that Sol bought this for me yesterday, and I could finally try it out after spending most of my time driving yesterday.

"I think it's really nice. It's simple, neat, and has a solid build." I said. Sol smiled with satisfaction at that answer.

It's around four in the morning again. Frank is taking us on a ride around the mountainside, and I was tasked to familiarize myself with the layout of the road.

"Hey, mind if I connect to your radio, Frank?" Frank nodded. "Sure. I've always wondered what type of music you humans had produced before your species went extinct."

He passed me the aux cord, and I decided to play some old songs that I hadn't heard in a long time, ever since I woke up from my bunker.

Speaking of my bunker. . .apparently it's nothing but an empty husk of a structure. Word has been surfacing around the internet that there are plans of turning it into a tourist attraction and may profit Oakfield as it is the nearest town where the investor's exhibition can establish a booth to book tours of the remnants of my father's bunker.

I wouldn't say I'm mad at that idea. In fact, I think my father would love that idea and would want to tour the Anthros himself through his bunker if he had the chance.

"Hey, kid, pay attention to the road." Frank got my attention. "I'm going to be showing you something. What I'm expecting you to be able to do before you get to work at SIU headquarters in four months." The ears of my holographic wolf mask perked up, while Sol had the face of absolute dread written on his face.

"F-Frank! Buddy! I think you should d-drop me off at the house first before you show the kid, y-yeah?" Frank shook his head as Sol reeled back into his seat and grasped onto every point that he could hold on to and closed his eyes, then began muttering something.

What's up with Sol? I was about to ask why Sol reacted like that before I turned towards Frank to see a slight smile forming, but it quickly disappeared when he noticed I was looking at him. Before Frank did anything, he looked at the radio and back at me.

"You got any other songs that aren't. . .that?" He commented on the calming and mellow nature of the song. For a moment, I was confused. Now I got what he meant.

"How about this?" I scrolled through my playlist and clicked on a song.

NOW PLAYING - 'CRAZY LITTLE LOVE' by Nuage

"Hmmm. . .this is good enough."

With those words leaving his mouth, he instantly downshifted from 5th, 4th, 3rd, and to 2nd gear in a matter of seconds, then slammed on the accelerator.

I thought Frank had cranked up the aircon, but I was mistaken. His sudden change in demeanor radiated an aura that I could not explain as Frank seemed to block everything out and focus on accelerating at suicidal speeds.

The residents of the hill were crudely awakened by the four-wheeled machine tearing its way through the straightaway. The gravitational force produced from the sudden burst of acceleration forced me to grip onto the door handle, and Sol was screaming his heart out as the speedometer read 110km/h (68 miles). . .125km/h (77 miles). . .then began climbing its way up to 160km/h (100 miles). . .
