Dream's mask was muddied and painted with a small splash of dirt. His armour still cleaner than the rest but caked in a thin layer of muck, below the mask, his face was hidden, you could see no expression, no happiness or sadness for the losses today.

He slowly walked to the three and pressed his hand over Y/n's shoulder, feeling the harsh metal of her chest plate cool his hand, "We need to get you home and cleaned up."

The voice he used was calm and scratched, nothing like the orders he had yelled to the group earlier that day.

Y/n nodded and stood, using the wooden bench to stabilise her before Dream scooped up her arm and lay it across his shoulder, carrying most of her weight for her. They shared a quick glance before Tommy stood and turned to face her, his eyes still wet with tears.

"Thank you for all the help today Y/n. I'm sorry it ended how it did."

He chocked on his words, the rasp in his voice showing his tiredness.

Y/n smiled at her younger brother and gently grabbed his blood stained hand, rubbing his knuckles with her thumb carefully, "We won Tommy, don't forget that. We might have a big job ahead with fixing up L'manberg but remember... Wilbur would be proud."

The young boy looked up at her and nodded, his tears falling again with the mention of his brother. Behind him, Tubbo stood up and gently ran his arm over Tommy's shoulder, turning him around and walking with him back along the prime path and towards L'manberg.

Dream did the same, turning around his partner before walking the other way, towards their home in the woods.

"When did you get so cliché and sappy?" Dream chuckled, rubbing his hand across her arm.

Y/n looked up at him and scoffed, "Fuck off. You would have done the same thing."

"I would not. It's Tommy, he'll get over it eventually."

"You really don't understand him do you. The kid is going crazy over his little discs that he refused presidency so he could have them." she looked forwards, stumbling over her limp for a second.

"Eh well, he'll get them back at some point."

The lovers shared a smile before looking away and back down the path. The strange mix of happiness, sadness and relief circling their brains. After the long walk, they finally reached the house where Sapnap, Karl and George all sat, cleaning weapons and sharing the events from today. The same house that only a few days ago was filled with yells and planning, now filled with laughter, the way it had been before the war.

There was defiantly going to be more wars. L'manberg was still not part of the grater Dream lands but that was for another time. Dream was going to keep hold of Tommy's discs for a long while but Tommy might get those back eventually.

But for now, everyone was ok and the most important thing, Dream and Y/n were still in love. It would take a while for all the wounds of the days events to heal and for Y/n and Tommy to learn how to carry on without their brother, they each grieved in different ways but they each had someone to keep them alive.

Dream and Y/n continued to love each other, through the wars, through the deaths and through the thousands of other explosions. They loved each other and was it.

That was until he tried to kill her last brother.
