"Where did you go!? What happened? Are you okay?!" Carter half-yelled, when she saw Emma walk out of the back entrance. After the confrontation with Agent Heath and the text from Cain...she needed to get out of there. So she sprinted through the rest of the Haunted House, the best she could in heels. Emma just sighed shaking her head, trying to get her thoughts straight.

"Well, the school had people hiding in rooms, so they could er...pick people off. That's all, someone just pulled me into another room and made me wait a moment for you to get ahead." Oh and did I mention that someone, is the ever so amazing Agent Heath? Whom you do not really know, who I barely know...Emma smiled brightly at Carter.

Carter eyed her for a moment, before brushing it off. "Well, we still have many important things to do-" She was cut off by the shrill tone of Emma's phone again.

This is Emma right?

"Who was that?" Carter asked trying to peek over Emma's phone. Emma showed her the two text messages. She quickly read them, then smiled. "Oh my gosh, you so have to reply. It's okay that you do it right now, obviously you've made him long enough." Carter winked.

"But what do I say? I don't even know him!"

"That's the point." Carter frowned. "Have you learned nothing my young one? Here say something to the effect of 'you're okay' or 'how are you' or even 'yes, this is Emma' with a winky face."

This is Emma! Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I was doing homework. How are you?

"How is that?" She showed the phone to Carter.

"Not exactly what I would say, but it looks like he read it, so that's a good thing."

Tired from work, but feel much better now that I can talk to you ;)

Emma felt like she was going to throw up. For a brief minute she wanted to flee again. Over come with the fear of what was going to happen to her. It was short lived, because Carter made a noise. "Aren't you going to reply to that? He is straight up wanting a piece of the 'Emma-cake'." She chuckled. If only she knew.

Haha I'll admit I was a little worried you weren't gonna text me...

It only took a moment for him to reply.

Aww, I'm sorry to make you worry. So why don't we play a little game to get to know each other? You ask me a question and I'll ask you a question.

Carter snorted, "This guy is laying it down on you girl!"

Alright, I'll start off. What do you do for a living? Straight forward enough, she thought to herself as she sent the message. It took only a couple minutes for there to be a reply. For a second she just stared at the screen, that glowed brightly back at her.

I work in the trade of beautiful and rare things. You could call me a salesman :)
