Chapter 32

                        -Emily's Pov-

It's been exactly a month since I joined the Akatsuki and I have been training against all the members everyday non-stop to get stronger.

Me and Konan have gotten closer considering she was the only girl in the Akatsuki.

The only other members I could tolerate was Itachi,Sasori,Kisame and Kakuzu considering they were sane most of the time.

The leader well...I hardly ever see him since he's busy.

Other than that the Akatsuki was alright.

"Your not focused enough,"I heard Itachi say.

Oh,have I forgotten to mention that I was currently in the middle of training with Itachi.

I sighed,dodging a kunai that was aimed for my head.

I could tell that he was going easy on me which frustrated me.

"Activate your sharingan,"he demanded in a calm tone.

I closed my eyes trying to focus my chakra to my eyes but before I could,a kunai was thrown at me.

I quickly dodged to the right glaring at Itachi.

"Someone could kill you while your standing still,"he said.

I mentally face-palmed myself for my stupidity.

"Sorry,let's continue,"I said getting into a fighting stance but he just stared at me then turned around.

I just stared at his back and sighed.

I stood up properly.I guess training was over but before I knew it I heard a voice from behind me.

"Dont let your guard down,"Itachi said.

I quickly turned around to swipe at him but he wasn't there.

I looked around trying to spot him but I was suddenly flung into a wall with pain etching into my side.

I stood up shakily with a grunt while holding my side.

"Let's stop for now,"Itachi said.I looked at him with a glare.

"I can still fight,"I said.

"You can hardly stand,"he said staring me down."I can,"I said taking a step but collapsed right after.

I tried getting up but my legs wouldn't move.I sighed in frustration.

I just sat there not bothering to get up because as you know,my legs were failing me.

After a moment,I heard footsteps walking to me,then stopped right in front of me.

Before I could look up I was pulled onto someone's back.I gasped in shock from his action.

I was about to say something by decided not to.

I laid my head on his shoulder suddenly feeling a wave of exhaustion come over me.

I closed my eyes,slowly lulling myself to sleep.

                       -Itachi's pov-

When I felt her breathe slowly,I glanced at her.

The sight made my gaze soften.

I turned my head to face forward.

She's like the little sister I never had.I let out a sigh.

I shouldn't get attached after all I'm going to die soon.

I closed my eyes for a second then reopened them letting out another sigh.

It was a comfortable silence that only Emily's breathing could be heard.

This moment reminded me of Sasuke.

The days when I used to carry him.

I quickly dismissed the thought,I really shouldn't think of this,after all its all in the past,I should focus on the present.

                          -Time Skip-

I placed Emily in her bed pulling the covers over her.She was sound asleep.

I turned around to leave but I felt a hand wrap around my wrist.

I turned my head to be met with red eyes.

"Don't leave,"she said in a sleepy tone.

My gaze softened and I sat down next to her.

I ruffled her hair while staring at her(not in the creepy way).

She closed her eyes in content with a small smile.

I sighed since I knew I was going to get attached.

                          -Time Skip-
                         -Emily's Pov-

I opened my eyes,blinking to adjust to the darkness.

Once I could see clearly,I noticed that I was in my room.

I'm guessing Itachi carried me to my room.

I sighed but suddenly the memories of the spar I had with Itachi came back.

I sighed again but this time in frustration.

Every time me and Itachi had a spar,I would only last up until 2 hours.

I felt weak and pathetic but I need to get stronger in order to protect Naruto and the others even if it kills me.
