CLARAS POV:
Callie and I held hands and looked out our windows the entire ride. Out of all of my foster siblings I am closest to Callie because she just understands me I guess and she is always looking out for me.
The car came to a stop. The neighborhood wasn't at all like the AdamsFosters'. This is dirty and trashed and the air reeks of filth. The house looks almost abandoned. Callie squeezed my hand and we both got out and got our bags without saying a word.
A woman came outside and talked to Jan, the lady that brought us here.
"This is Callie and Clara, they will be staying with you for a while," Jan said to the woman,"I'm Pat," the woman said unenthusiastically.
"I don't like this, please find Lena soon" I think to myself.
An awkward silence was building until Jan broke it,"Well I had better be going," she quickly walked to her car and drove off. "Get inside!" Pat said forcefully. I looked at Callie and she returned a concerned look.
CALLIES POV
"This is a bad house" I think to myself I can tell that Clara is scared, she hasn't been in very many foster homes this is kind of new to her.
The house was cluttered with junk and smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke. There were other people in the house, mostly girls dressed in tiny articles of clothing barely covering them.
"We have rules here! First you both have chores, you may not leave the house and you have to be in bed by 8 and awake by 4 am oh and we don't have alarm clocks here. Absolutely no devices, if you have any money it's mine now. You do as you are told when you are told. Oh and go change into this." Pat said handing Clara and me practically bikinis, " You will wear this when you wake up till you go to bed . Got it? Good!" Pat said rudly.
Clara and I changed into the outfits and walked out of the room with our arms over our bodies trying to cover ourselves. It is about 6 now.
The rest of the day is spent learning how to do our chores.
