STEFS POV
Last night Lena and I talked about adopting Clara. We both agreed that we should and we have the space because Brandon is at Idawiled for the rest of the summer and then he and Callie are going to college. We are adopting Callie on her birthday when she turns 18 which is June 19 so it is coming up quick!
Lena and I decided to surprise Clara after surgery. Lena called my mom to have her bring the kids in about an hour so they can see Clara right before surgery and then we can talk to them and get all set up to ask her.
The surgeon came into the room. "Hi I'm Dr. Grier, I'm your surgeon, incase you don't remember. Last time I saw you you were pretty drugged up" she said as she stuck out her hand for Clara to shake.
CLARAS POV
I shook Dr. Griers hand, she must've felt how clammy and shaky my hand was. "Hey no need to be nervous, it will be a pretty quick procedure, we will go in and scope your femur just to make sure there isn't anything that we couldn't see on the MRI that needs fixed. Then if we find anything we will just go in and fix it and then continue what we were going to do. If we don't find anything we will go ahead and put screws in to put your bone back together. We may also have to do a ligament reconstruction. It all depends on what we find when we scope," she stated. This all made me a little more nervous, I've only had one other surgery and that was getting my tonsils out when I was 5. I feel like throwing up. I take a deep breath and try to cool down.
Stef must've been able to tell how nervous I am. She came over to the side of my bed and held my hand while they switched my IV. After they did that they had to give me a nerve block which was a shot in the leg.
My siblings walked through the door and Lena and Callie greeted them. "Alright I will be back in a few minutes with some anesthesia," Dr. Grier announced and then left the room.
I look at Stef and try to smile but I can't because I am so nervous. She leans down, still holding my hand, and whispers, "you are going to do great my love," and kisses my forehead. I smiled back at her.
All of my siblings told me good luck and hugged me and then Dr. Grier came back in with the anesthesia. They put an oxygen mask over my face and started wheeling me out of the room. I heard Stef shout,"we love you baby!" And a giant smile spread across my face.
We went down the hallway a little bit more and I saw some guy running toward me. He finally got close enough that I could see his face clearly. "Brandon!" I tried to say through the mask and the anesthesia. "Hey Clara! I'm so sorry I'm late! You will do awesome!" He said quickly and then kissed my forehead and kept going down the hall towards my room.

Ok so I'm having surgery on my ankle soon so that is where the whole surgery thing is coming from...
