LENAS POV
I woke up to find that my beautiful wife wasn't next to me, kind of a disappointment if you ask me. I love having her be the first thing I see when I wake up. I am usually the first one up but maybe she got called into work. I really hope not because today all of the kids will be with one of their biological parents. Callie will be with the Quinn's, Jude will be with Donald, the twins will be with Ana and their biological grandparents, and Brandon will be with Mike. It is just going to be Clara and Stef and me that is if Stef isn't at work.
I decided to head downstairs and see if Stef was still here. Once I got to the bottom of the stairs I peaked in the kitchen but no Stef. I walked over to the living room and found Clara and Stef cuddled on the couch asleep.
They have such a beautiful bond and I decided to take a picture so we can hang it on the staircase wall. I pulled out my phone and went to camera. I snapped the pic but I forgot to turn my phone on silent and the noise made Stef stir.
When her eyes fluttered open I felt bad for waking her,"aw babe, I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you," she made a soft grunt still sleepy and put out her arm motioning me to come to her.
I walked over to the couch and cuddled up to Stef who put her free arm around me. I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and she turned her head to kiss me. We did a small peck and I nestled my head into her neck.
"Babe we have to go get everyone up, they are all leaving at 9:30 and it is already 8:20," I said softly trying not to wake up Clara who is very cute when she sleeps,"aw our sleepyhead is just adorable," I said getting a smile and a kiss on the top of the head from Stef.
"Alright babe lets get up," Stef said with a sigh starting to get up. I gave her a devious smile and I think she knew exactly what I was thinking.
We raced upstairs and ran into B's room first. We both jumped on his bed on either side of him and shouted,"wake up sleepyhead!" Rustling his hair and then we ran out and went to Callie and Marianna's room. I jumped on miss things bed and Stef did Callie's bed, we shouted,"Good morning sunshines!" Kissed their foreheads and ran into Jesus and Jude's room. I ran to Jude's bed and Stef ran to Jesus'. We both yelled, "wake up our handsome boys!" And messed up their hair and quickly ran out and raced back down the stairs.
Once we got to the bottom we ran to the kitchen. Stef was slightly ahead of me so I reached out and grabbed both of her arms from behind and pulled her towards me. She rested her head back against my shoulder and my neck and looked up at me as I wrapped my arms around her.
"We haven't done that for a while," she said with a smile. I smiled back and said,"we really need to do that more often babe! Maybe like every Friday we could," Just then Jesus came down the stairs quickly and basically shouted,"no moms! Please not every Friday!" I looked at Stef and we both started laughing. Stef spoke up,"shh love you are going to wake up your sister!" Jesus immediately gave us an apologetic look and grabbed an orange.
The rest of the troops came to the kitchen, except for Clara who was still passed out peaceful on the couch. Everyone chatted while they ate breakfast and then one by one they left.
