It was rather hard to think of a place that Sato could call his favorite. He hardly ever went somewhere that wasn't his parent's bakery or his home. He wouldn't necessarily call those his favorite places though. He just never really had money to go anywhere else.
Most of his competitors had figured out their favorite place by the end of Saturday but it was now Sunday night and he still had no clue where to take Bakugou. He had no idea what his favorite spot was.
He was about to give up and just take him to his parent's bakery when it hit him. His favorite spot. He couldn't believe it took him this long to think of it. He just hoped that Bakugou would like it.

Monday after classEveryone was ready for Bakugou to tell them who gets to go off campus with him. Most of them had outfits picked out. They only needed Bakugou to tell them that they get to go.
After they entered the dorms Bakugou called out the name of the person he would be leaving campus with today.
"Sato."
He did say it would be randomized, but they had figured that he would start off with someone who he was at least closer to. None of them could even think of a time the two actually had a conversation.
They weren't given time to actually question him since he went upstairs to change into something other than his school uniform. Sato went up as soon as the shock wore off, his classmates wishing him luck on his way.

They successfully made it past the gate. Sato was nervous through the whole pass check. Bakugou was the only one who was carrying a leave pass but the bot let both of them through. Now they were heading away from the school.
"So, where are we heading big guy?" Bakugou asked.
His eyes were studying the slightly taller male. He could tell just how nervous this was making him, and Bakugou didn't know whether that was a good nervous or not.
"Um, first we need to swing by another place before I can take you where I consider to be my favorite place." Sato somehow got all the words out correctly. He was still figiting with the hem of his shirt though and Bakugou was worried that the stitching may come undone.
"Relax. This is just casual hangout. Don't feel like you need to impress me or anything." Bakugou said, placing his hands behind his head as they walked to emphasize that this didn't need to be too totally formal or anything.
That seemed to calm Sato's nerves some more and Bakugou was glad. He didn't want to have to worry about a possible anxiety attack or anything. He just wanted to get to know a little bit more about his potential partners.
"So, what can you tell me about the place you have chosen to take me? Like why is it your favorite?" He put his hands back in his pocket since that's how he was most comfortable.
"There's not really much to tell. It's just where I went whenever I needed to get out a bit or needed a change of scenery. Most kids get to go to places like the arcade or the trampoline park, but for a while we were living paycheck to paycheck. I knew our financial situation so I never pestered my parents about going to those extremely fun places. Instead I stumbled upon this place one day and made it my own little spot. I haven't been since we started UA though so I don't know the condition it's in."
Bakugou listened to every word said by his classmate. Sato was one of the few on the list he's never even really attempted to listen to before the competition. It's not like he was exactly willing to try talking to Bakugou either.
