"Last one of the week. We are taking bets on who it's going to be. Wanna join?" Thirteen asks Midnight when she walks into the teacher's lounge. She had just finished her lesson with Class A.

"Of course! There are only six left right?" Midnight grabs a can of coffee from the fridge, then looks at the list of names in the competition.

"Correct. There is Tokoyami, Shoji, Kirishima, Midoriya, Jirou, and Kaminari." Cementos says. "My money is on Kirishima. I find it odd that he has gone so long without going on one of these quests."

"Right! Same as my thoughts." Power Loader says. "That kid gives the vibes of saving the best for last though, so I went with Jirou for today."

"I think you are all forgetting about Young Midoriya." All Might says.

"You bet on it being Midoriya every day, All Might." Hound Dog says.

"Well one of these days I'm going to be right, and all of you will be handing me your cash." The former number one says.

"We'll just be giving back part of what you gave us." Midnight says as she puts her initials beside Tokoyami. "Anyways, I am not as excited for tonight's results as I am for tomorrow. We'll get to figure out why those two boys were out so late."

"Oh my gods, yes." Thirteen squeals. "I am so ready for Tea Time With Bakugou. He had a lot of interesting match ups this week. I'm particularly interested in how the one with Momo went. I think those two would make a lovely couple. Powerful."

They continue to talk about who they hope Bakugou ends up with until they end up having to go to their next classes. This contest has really given them a lot of entertainment, so of course they are all dreading the day it ends. They still have their hopeful results though.

-

The boys could literally hear All Might demanding his money and cheering as they passed by the teacher's dorms to head off for Deku's quest. Midoriya laughs at this while Bakugou rolls his eyes. He knew they were betting on this contest, but did they have to be that obvious about it?

"It seems like our teachers are having fun. You going to give them an ear full when you go report to them tomorrow?" Midoriya asks.

"No. They can make their bets. It doesn't change how this contest will end if they do."

They make it off campus and Bakugou automatically turns to head to the station for the bus. However, Midoriya turns the opposite way. No bus? Is his favorite spot seriously not worthy of the bus?

"Come on Kaachan. It's this way."

Reluctantly, Bakugou follows Midoriya. All he can think of though is how upset the driver will be when he doesn't show. He has driven every day that he has done this. Midoriya will throw off his schedule.

"Oh don't pout. He's not your personal chauffeur." Midoriya says with a laugh. "We aren't going too far away. It's just a ten minute walk. It would take longer if we took the bus, given the stops he would already have to make."

"I'm not pouting over the bus driver." Bakugou grumbles, earning himself a smirk from Deku.

"Ok Kaachan. I believe you. At least look like you're enjoying the walk then."

"Fine, but you have to tell me why you entered this contest." Bakugou says. He speeds up his walk so he will be beside Midoriya instead of behind him.

"Simple. It gives me an excuse to hang out with my best friend." Midoriya says. "So don't worry. I haven't been harbouring secret feelings for you."

"I wasn't thinking that." Bakugou says. "If I had been I wouldn't have asked for you to explain."

"You know, the other classes are really invested in this. We are asked about it every day." Midoriya says.

He spends the rest of the walk listening to Midoriya go on and on about all of the students who would usually avoid Class A. Apparently this is the most dramatic thing to happen in UA's halls. Honestly, Bakugou had no clue it would be this big of a deal.

Eventually Midoriya leads him down to a beach. A few people were here, but it wasn't overrun like it would be in summer. Midoriya spreads out his arms to make a show as he announces that this is his favorite place.

    "The beach?" Bakugou asks.

"Not just any beach. Not even a year ago, this beach was overflowing with trash. I spent months moving and clearing all that trash from this beach, and growing stronger every day by doing so." Midoriya explains. "And now look at it. People can enjoy it again, all thanks to my hard work."

"Ok. I can understand why you like it so much then. It turned you from a wimpy runt into a somewhat less wimpy kid who can now knock someone out."

"Aw, Kaachan. I think that's the nicest thing you have ever said to me." Midoriya say in a teasing voice.

"I can, and will, punch you." Bakugou threatens. He makes a fist with his left hand to further prove his point.

"That's not something you should say to a potential boyfriend."

"You're not even doing this because you want to date me. How does that make you a potential boyfriend?" Bakugou asks. He kicks down a random pile of sand someone had left.

"Maybe one of these date like quests will make me fall for you. Who know? Anything can happen."

"You know as well as I do that you and I would not do well as a couple. We hardly funtion as a team when we are fighting together. Have us decide where to eat on a date and only the gods know the destruction that would happen with that fight."

Midoriya laughs and nods. He knows Bakugou is right. It's a miracle they have made it this long into the night without something going wrong. He's willing to bet Aizawa is back at the teacher's lounge sweating alongside Recovery Girl.

"Yeah, you're right. We are definitely better off as friends and rivals. That doesn't mean I'm dropping out though. I'm still going to take these chances to hang out with you. So long as I keep my points up you can't just kick me to the curb either." Midoriya says.

"Whatever. Just don't be annoying about it. We should start heading back. There's only so much time you can spend on the beach before sand gets into every bit of clothing you have."

They start heading back to the school. They continue to talk to each other on the walk back. For the first time since he started this, Bakugou actually gets back to the school with enough time to actually spend time in the common room with everyone else after a quest. The other kids were confused since they had assumed the two would be out for the average time everyone else was. They don't bring it up though. After all, the two weren't upset or fighting. It's better results than anyone could expect.
