Saturday mornings the teachers of UA usually sleep in, especially since Friday nights they have to listen to Present Mic host his radio show. However every single one of them was up this morning. Why? Because today was the first day that Bakugou was going to come by and supply them with the retellings of his week of dates.
They waited anxiously for a knock on the door. Powerloader was pacing, driving Hound Dog mad with the anxiety it brought. Present Mic was on his third cup of coffee. Midnight thought she may just pass out before he got here. Then it happened.
Knock
Knock
KnockPowerloader rushed to the door. Bakugou was standing out there, notebook in hand. Last night he had stayed up to listen to Present Mic's show and write down every detail he thought necessary for the teachers. To be honest he was kind of nervous that it wouldn't live up to the dramatics that the teachers expected, but he had to tell them as part of the deal.
"Welcome. Come in." Powerloader said, stepping out of the way to let the student in.
Bakugou entered the dorms and took his shoes off at the door. He followed the teacher into the common area, seeing everyone there. Even Nedzu was there, adding a sugar cube to his tea.
"Let's skip the pleasantries and get right to it, shall we?" Nedzu said.
Bakugou nodded, sitting in the empty chair that was obviously there for him. He opened the notebook to about a quarter of the way through. The other pages were filled with random school notes to discourage his classmates from snooping.
"This challenge was for everyone to take me to their favorite place." He explained to the teachers. They all murmured something about how that was a good start. You can tell a lot about a person by where they spend a lot of their time. Once they quietened down Bakugou continued. "First up was Sato. His favorite place was an old dining area that had an overgrown, dead, garden. He wants to revive it, and I believe it has a lot of potential. So we spent the evening cleaning the place and eating pastries from his families bake shop."
"So you spent your first date as a high school student cleaning?" Midnight asked.
"Oh lay off. I find it sweet. He was helping Sato revive a place that he loves." Mic said.
"Still underwhelming. I half expected it to be a kitchen when he said Sato." Midnight grumbled.
Bakugou rolled his eyes at her poutin and continued. "Next was Uraraka. You guys don't get many details since this one was actually pretty private."
"In what way?" Vlad asked.
"Well we seriously just talked the whole time. Most about her insecurities. I don't feel comfortable sharing that with others as it is her business to share. I don't even know what her favorite place is because we got too distracted and never left the bus." Bakugou said.
"Really? Your second date was a theraputic bus ride?" Midnight was seriously underwhelmed. How could this kid have such lame dates?
"I went to the roller rink on Wednesday with Iida." Bakugou said, challenging her to find fault in that.
"It was a training date." Aizawa and Mic said. Bakugou gaped at them in shock. How did they know?
"We knew Tensei, Bakugou. That's where he always went to practice maneuverability." Aizawa explained.
"Fine. Well next was Pinky and we went to her dance studio. Nothing lame about that is there. She taught me her squads choreography for one of their songs."
"Oh now that's some tea. You got the video?" Midnight asked, now very interested.
"Yeah, here."
Mina had sent it to him as a way for him to keep the memory. He pulled it up and handed the phone to Midnight. The teachers circled her to watch it as well. Just by the audio he knew where they are and what was going on. He knew when they laughed that they had gotten to the part where he had tripped over his feet, the shakeyness from the day before not yet completely gone. Soon it had ended though.
"Ok, that was fun. What next?!" Cementos asked already excited to learn who and what happened.
"That invisible girl Hagakure and I went to this old toy store she used to stay at as a kid. It's filled floor to ceiling with handmade toys and it's like a maze. Very interesting place. She was very excited to be there again. It was almost cute to see her running around that place and picking up random toys."
He had a small smile on his face, remembering how he could always tell when she was hugging certain things or seeing her jump in excitement when she would find something she knew how to make. The teachers were smiling as well. They were witnessing one of the few soft Bakugou moments all thanks to a dating contest. Aizawa was really glad he allowed this.
"So what were your favorite parts of these dates?" Nedzu asked, wanting more details.
And so Bakugou sat there sharing his favorite details with his teachers. They never thought Bakugou could be so soft, but they were happy to be experiencing it now.
Here's a gift for Bakugou's birthday
