JUDITH cried lightly as Michonne and Allison rubbed her head softly.
"What happened? Carol asked.
"There were a bunch of walkers out here and he got his hands around Judith's neck." Tyreese said making Carol go in to the kill the man. "No, he's dead. I—I had to. So I did. I could."
Carol nodded slowly, slightly impressed. He was a gentle giant after all. Rick spoke up, "I don't know if the fire is still burning."
They looked up at the smoke, and Carol said it was very confidently. "Yeah, we need to go." Rick said wiping off his hands with a rag.
"Yeah, but where?" Daryl asked.
"Somewhere far away from there." He pointed. Allison and Daryl walked beside each other down the railway path. She looked up and down the lining and realized how many people they now had. It was a lot, but that also made her nervous. More people to feed and more people to lose.
They took a few stops a long the way to feed Judith and feed themselves. Daryl got in his back, whipping out some of the berries Beth had collected from before.
He looked down at them sadly and Allison walked over to him, "What's wrong?"
"Beth got these for uh— in case we found anyone." He said and handed them over to her. She took them gladly and ate a few. When she tried to hand them back over, he shook his head no, but she wouldn't take no for an answer.
She rolled her eyes and put a berry in his mouth. He glared at her and still ate it, "Those are for you."
"Sharing is caring." Allison said with a smile, shoving another one in his mouth, which was more accepted this time. "So what happened in there?"
"You don't wanna know." He said walking down the road with her. Allison gave him a quick glance, and he sighed. "Cannibals."
"Are you serious?" She asked in shock. I guess, she expected something bad but that wasn't anything she would've guessed.
"They went down a line, hitting men with a bat and then slitting their throats, letting the blood drain in a tub." He said. "Only reason we got out was because of the explosion."
Allison looked up at Carol, who was walking a few feet ahead of them. It made her desperately want to tell her thank you. They were lucky. It was pure dumb luck, but Allison was happy it turned out the way it did.
"They were drying out the bodies like they were cattle or some shit." He said, thinking back to the rooms with chains strung from the ceiling.
"That's sick. I would rather die than eat another human. I couldn't even imagine myself going as far to eat dogs or cats." She said.
"You would if you were hungry enough." He said, not believing her.
"No." She said. "I'd seriously rather die. Even just the thought of Rick ripping that guys throat out makes me ill. I'm glad I wasn't there, but I didn't like where I was either."
