THE blue truck pulled up with only one person coming out: Shane. No Otis to be seen.

He struggled out of the truck, wheezing with bags hanging around his arms and back. "Carl?"

"There's still a chance." Rick said while Hershel and the others grabbed bags off of Shane's shoulders.

Hershel looked around, "Otis?"

Shane shook his head slowly, "No." His voice was so soft it was almost inaudible, in a way it made it worse.

Everyone in the front yard went pale. Maggie began to tear up and Allison wrapped her arm around her sisters waist in support.

"We say nothing to Patricia. Not till after. I need her." Hershel demanded running into the house about to go perform a surgery.

Rick wrapped his arms around a clearly shaken up Shane.

"They kept blocking us at every turn. We had nothing left. We were down to 10 rounds. Then he said—he said he'd cover me a-and that I should keep going. So that's what I did I just... I kept going but I—" He paused a moment crinkling his nose. "I looked back and he—I tried."

Maggie started tearing up more making her shoulders start to fall heavy in Allison's arms.

Rick put a hand on his friends shoulder, "He wanted to make it right."

Maggie ran into the kitchen with Allison and Glenn by her side. She said down in tears with her family in mind.

"He's run this farm since before my mother died."

Glenn walked to the fridge to see baby pictures and recent pictures of the Greene siblings. "Who else? Who'd you lose? You told me I had to make it okay somehow. That's what you've been trying to do, right? Which ones?"

Allison blinked back tears at the thought of Shawn and her mother. She hasn't cried yet and she surely wasn't going to cry now.

Maggie got up from her seat while Allison sat on the table. "M-My stepmother." She pointed at a picture. "That's Allison's mom."

She pointed to another. "My stepbrother. Allison's half brother."

Glenn turned back to Allison realizing how their family was connected. "It was hard, but we're here." She said grabbing her sisters hand in comfort.

The Greene family along with Jimmy, Shane, and Glenn gathered stones for the funeral that was going to be happening later that evening for Otis.
