"And would you care to read that text aloud, Mr. Miko?"

I jumped in my seat as I heard Mr. Williams' gruff voice above my head. I looked back down in my lap and quickly hid the mobile phone between my legs. "Uhh.. I don't know what you're talking about sir.." I stuttered, my face getting warm underneath my freckles. I heard my friend Alex giggle at my obvious embarrassment; his short brown hair shook lightly as he tried to contain his laughter.

"Don't lie to me Cody; no one looks at their crotch and smiles. Hand it over. Now." His hand extended toward me as he spoke. I sighed and handed my phone over, the screen was still lit. "' Have a nice day, love you' from mummy," The class erupted with laughter as my face went a deep shade of red. "You can get this back at the end of the school day, Miko."

I sheepishly nodded. I glanced over to Alex, who was no longer holding his pale hand over his mouth.

"Shut up." I muttered, hitting his arm with the back of my hand.

"This assignment is due next month, I've already put you in pairs. Sandy with Jodie," a small giggle came from the back of the room as the words left the teachers mouth.

"Jake and Courtney, Cody and Ale-" The man was interrupted by a loud shriek from the class next door, he sighed and continued on the list of names. I glanced over to my blue eyed friend who was slumped over in his seat with his head on the desk; his brown hair spread out everywhere. His face was dimly lit by the white light emitting from the mobile phone held in his hand on his lap. Rolling my eyes, I looked back at the teacher at the front of the room. His words were rudely interrupted again by a series of screams. "This is ridiculous." He muttered while rubbing his temples covered by his greying hair. "Stay in your seats class, I'll be back in a minute." He strode out of the classroom, gently shutting the door behind him.

The class suddenly became very lively; students started noisy conversations while using their phones.

It had been 10 minutes since Mr Williams had left the room, while chatting to Alex, we both grew worried. I asked him to text his friend in the class that caused Mr. Williams' absence. A few minutes later, Alex's phone beeped and he picked up his phone. His face grew pale, matching his icy blue eyes as he read the words on his phone; I asked him to show me his phone and he quickly handed it over to me. Something was wrong.
